Whatever guys Roenicke was planning on using for 7, 8, 9 if they were up on the Cardinals should've pitched 5-9. Maybe even used KRod and Axford for 5-9 or 6-9. You have to do whatever you think is your best chance of keeping the Cardinals at 9 runs there and just hope that Gallardo can give you good innings tomorrow (even if that's not a realistic hope).

They are obviously not going to win 96 games next year and losing the .900+ OPS out of Fielder will suck. But they will return all 5 of their starters from this year and hopefully won't have Yuni B or Casey McGehee playing for 140+ games. So there is some hope.

Third time the Cards are going to the World Series in my life time which is annoying but the Cubs dynasty is going to be beginning soon so this will be a distant memory.

I don't think the Cardinals pitching can deal with the Rangers offense. Problem is, the Rangers rotation isn't so hot. But the Texas bullpen is really good and the St. Louis bullpen is bound to turn back into the pumpkin it is at some point. And the Cards don't get the benefit of the Brewers defense, so that's something.

 

But man, can Texas hit. Of course Philly could really pitch, so who the hell knows.
