hasn't he had a leg injury since he started playing this year?

Billy Hamilton was called up to AA after posting 104 stolen bases in 82 games. He's stolen two bases in the first game of a DH today, and stole a base last night for AA for a total of 107 to this point.

He's exciting for sure, but I'm not getting how he's ranked higher than Javier Baez? Would anyone here really trade Baez for Hamilton straight up? I sure wouldn't.

If Hamilton had any power at all, I'd think about it. But as it is, no way.

Exactly, and yet everyone has Hamilton higher. I don't get it.

Devil's Advocate case for Billy Hamilton...

1) He has increased his walk rate to 12.8% from 8.5%

2) He's lowered his K rate from 21.8% to 17.9%

3) BB/K rate is up from 0.39 to 0.71

4) His ISO is up from .082 to .116

5) wOBA up from .353 to .417

6) He's made significant strides in a league where, if the roster's on B-R are any indication, there are less 21 year olds on the teams than there are older players.

That being said... I like Baez a lot better, an also BA said Hamilton likely won't stick at short because of poor hands (despite what they admitted was above average range).

Also, while looking up those ages, I stumbled upon this guy...

Julio Morban. Got some good numbers (but poor plate patience it seems), what's his story, anyone know? 20 is young for that league, is it not?

Signed for $1.1 million back in 2008, was one of the biggest IFA prospects that year.

The Blue Wahoo's stadium is a thing of beauty, btw. And their staff/on-field entertainment crew is top notch. Definitely one of the best minor league parks to visit. Right on the water, cool breeze blowing in almost every day. Super awesome.

We are all pissed at how often,Brett K's. No longer. Not when I tell you the Red Sox have an 18th rounder they just drafted by the name of Shaq Green-Thompson. Who has now struck out 31 times.............In 32 at bats.

He's not skipping, he's got a two-sport deal. He'll be at Washington in September.

most of the time when people say they could do something better than a professional baseball player they're full of [expletive], but i honestly think i could do better than putting the ball in play once in 37 at bats.

Saw him pitch a few times in high school. it was hilarious how overmatched high school hitters looked at times. Like 5 year olds.
