Berkman driving in runs for the Cubs with his glove and legs.

Keep it going, Cubs. Hopefully this forces Mozeliak to finally do something about Ryan Franklin.

Maybe he'll stop letting him pitch in front of Lance Berkman?

This is hardly Berkman's fault. Franklin has little ability to get outs anymore, and no ability to make batters miss the ball anymore.

11 of 16 hitters reached base via a hit or walk by the Cubs. 4 of those 5 plate appearances that did not lead to a hit or walk were in AB by Hill and Garza.

That can't possibly be true. We haven't run into 7 outs.

From Aramis Ramirez in the 2nd inning to Kosuke Fukudome in the 4th inning, 11 of 16 hitters reached base. From Ramirez in the 2nd to Koyie Hill in the 5th 16 of 22 hitters reached base safely on a hit or BB.

Didn't realize you were talking about a specific timeframe vs. the entire game.

I could see how that wasn't clear.

I thought for sure we were going to see someone die while doing the stretch.

Who sang the stretch?

Dutchie Caray and Pete Vanochen, who I am pretty sure is 206 years old. I thought he was going to go into cardiac arrest and fall out of the booth at one point.

Just crossing the wire, Aramis will be going home to the Dominican after tomorrow's game for a family matter and will miss Friday's game.

CSN was telling Len & Bob to get this old dude to shut the hell up so we can go to commercial. They did not do a good job.

Haha, funny stuff. I wasn't following the game at all and I was out walking my dogs down Addison walking towards the park. This was around 10:30 and I knew there was a rain delay so the game shouldnt have been even close to over yet, but I kept seeing tons of Cardinal fans, almost exclusively, walking the opposite direction of the park. I thought it was strange so I checked the score and saw that it was 10-1 Cubs. Haha stupid Cardinals fans.
