For the Home Town Chicago Cubs, it will be Matt Garza, who has been pretty damn good despite the fact that he has a nasty habit of alowing more runs than our un clutch singles hitting offense can usually make up for

For Ryan Theriot and the visiting Cardinals, it will be Jake Westbrook, who might not be much, but hes proof that the Cards unloaded Ryan Ludwick at the right time. The Cardinals offense is almost identical to The Cubs, except for the fact that they have this ability to hit the ball really hard, often not directly at an opposing defender, and sometimes with runners on base.

Aint the Westbrook family all cute and stripey? Like a family of Zebras.

Currently scouring Craigslist/Stubhub for tickets for this guy while monitoring the weather situation. Doesn't look to promising weather wise

Miles just tweeted Soto to DL, Wellington Castillo is at Wrigley. Awesome. :banghead:

Not great news, but if Quade let's Castillo do the bulk of the starting and keeps Hill as backup, it won't be the end of the world.

Weather looks and sounds really ominous at the moment here in Lincoln Park but hopefully they should be able to get the game in tonight. Precipitation chances are pretty high around start time but then drop down around 8:30 or so until around midnight.

who are the announcers on espn?

Nomar is the color guy. I can't remember who the other guy is, though.

EDIT: Just went back and looked, it's Dave O'Brien.

I guess when you can't hit for [expletive] you just send them when you can

Edit. with RISP that is

This team makes it damn near impossible to enjoy watching a ball game. What kind of secondary lead is Ramirez not getting that he can't score on a two hopper through the middle of the diamond? Then Soriano swings at a pitch up and in on 3-1 instead of taking it and Hill is useless so the scoring threat is dead.
