Stay classy, LA.

What had they done two minutes before that? I turned it on just in time for Bynum to almost kill somebody

Odom got ejected 2 minutes before for elbowing Nowitzki while trying to get over a screen.

I'd say that was bush league, but I have a feeling everyone in the bush leagues was watching the game thinking "I wouldn't do that [expletive]"

I have to think you can get better than a charmin soft power forward and an always injured center for Dwight Howard.

Probably not - the teams that want Howard aren't going to trade their good players.

I gotta think you could get a better deal from the Clippers. DeAndre Jordan and some parts. If the Clippers really want to get Howard they need to trade for him. Although maybe they don't and it's all just Bill Simmons pining for him.

How? What better package is out there? Frankly, I cannot imagine a better package -- or one even remotely close -- than Gasol and Bynum. If/when the Magic trade Howard, I almost guarantee they won't get the equivalent of Gasol/Bynum.

I'd talk to the Clippers. See If I could get a first round pick, Eric Bledsoe, and DeAndre Jordan.

That's not better than a combo of Gasol and Bynum.

Quite frankly, I doubt the Lakers would be willing to part with both.

I think it is. Paul Gasol is on the downside of his career, Andrew Bynum is what he is. Everyone thinks there is this other level he can get to. I just don't see it. Maybe my hatred of the Lakers is blinding me here.

The Magic know Howard is not returning and so do the Lakers, Nets and Knicks. I don't see some team blowing the Magic away with an offer.

You got the wrong Eric in that Clippers package. Gordon and Jordan would be the makings of an interesting trade scenario.

Eric Gordon? I am not sure that I know who that is, and no way the Clippers trade him.

So either the Mavs, Thunder or Grizzlies will go to the NBA Finals. The Mavs may be the favorites at this point.

If the Bulls are out at any point, I think I'm gonna throw my support behind the Mavs. It was funny watching them choke in the playoffs all those years, but it would be really nice to see Dirk win one before his skills start to erode.

Considering the Lakers resorted to thugging it up, I'm pretty disappointed they didn't go after Terry. There's no need to go after Dirk and picking on Barea is like picking on a little kid. Terry's the douche that threw your teammate down a month ago, take him out if you're going to do anything.

Why do you think Pau is on the downside of his career? A bad three weeks in the playoffs? 18.8 ppg is right on line with what he's done as a Laker and the 10.2 rpg were the second best single season mark with the Lakers. There's no stat showing any bit of dropoff and I'm willing to buy that he might just be worn down from three straight runs to the Finals plus this year.

I'm just going off of age. He's gotta be starting to slow down.

There's also a money issue with that trade. Pau makes $17.8 and Bynum $13.7 while Howard is at $16.6. That leaves at least $10M in salaries the Magic would have to send LA.

Also, Howard for Gasol and Bynum isn't much of an improvement. It moves Odom into the starting lineup but then there's nobody left on the bench. They still have no point guard and they're still stuck with Artest for three more years. And Kobe's only getting older.

If they managed to get Howard for Bynum and picks and anyone not named Gasol, Odom or Bryant, then it would be a big upgrade.

Orlando has no shortage of horrendous contracts to send with Howard.

Two words: Gilbert. Arenas.

That's what I'm worried about.
