hopefully for erik's sake, safeway will have the game on in the break room so he can watch it

oh and hopefully for our sake, someone else is using the town's computer later so he can't get on here and talk about it

Yeah, I'm probably gonna be pretty insufferable if the Packers win. Even moreso than usual.

Dammit you just made me question whether I actually want the Bears to win now.

Bears Super Bowl or erik's probable banning? Tough one. One directly affects my quality of life.

I really want the Packers to win now. This is pretty epic.

Ugh Clay Matthews. Don't get me wrong i think he is a very good player... but he is a 3-4 linebacker, a system player. Pittsburgh churns out these guys a dime a dozen, so does pretty much every 3-4 defense. He works in space, how bout he mix it up a little bit, cover the middle part of the field instead of the flats or short zones. What would Urlacher do in space, coming off the edge with one thing in mind or then just covering a short zone in pass coverage? Well i know what Clay would do if he was a MLB, break his neck either sticking his head in a mess or whipping it around so fast looking for what the hell, who the hell he should cover that isnt part of a short zone on the outside of the field.

Clay Matthews= Guy in bar

Jay Cutler = IMB's jaw

aaron rodgers = erik

julius peppers = adult onset diabetes

gonna declare myself the winner

You know what they say about arguing on the internet: it's like the Special Olympics. Even if you win, you're still [expletive].

what does that make the loser

I'm a fan of the Packers and I hate Eric. And I barely read any threads and I'm formulating my opinion on very little evidence. But I'm pretty sure I hate him.

i was going to argue this point, but i realized that imagining being made a fool of makes you look cool is probably the only way you sleep at night.

I want to know why people keep spelling his name with a "c" when "Erik" is part of his username.

I do too. People who have known me for years still do that.

That's because they don't like you either.

THAT'S the reason! I knew it!

Almost always when NFL live is on, there is a similar show but better on the NFL network

Exactly. NFL Network blows the [expletive] out of whatever coverage is on ESPN.

I'm sorry Xsport doesn't carry NFL Network?

What I was saying before about the dedicated reporter thing for Chicago on ESPN was there isn't any guy like Ed Werder, who literally will show up any time something Brett Favre or Green Bay related pops up. There isn't any that guy for Chicago. I don't much care, it just surprises me they don't have one for Chicago. I didn't make that clear.

I'm not trying to be all 'ARGH SECOND CITY' but Chicago really is an afterthought most of the time. Thanks for the ESPN website I guess.

While there is some truth that you can fill a 3-4 scheme with some easy-to-find players and field a surprisingly competent defense...Clay Matthews doesn't belong in that category.

If anyone is looking for a change of pace in the Packers-Bears discussion, I highly suggest Lions' blogs and forums. They really, really hate the Bears, and many of them are in quite the quandry with 4 teams they find it near impossible to root for. This thread and the comments that follow are quite entertaining...

Sounds like they just hate Marinelli and Martz. It's kinda understandable since they are both a part of their horrible recent history. But it's not like they squandered some great talent up there.

Speaking of the Lions, has there ever been a worse executive than Matt Millen? Donald Sterling looks like Billy Beane next to that guy.

They're also bitter about that first game of the season.
