You probably thought Rex Grossman was a great QB in 2006 also.

I want to be happy the Pats lost, but the Jets are just too despicable right now. What a collection of punks, especially Ryan. I hope the Steelers just murder them.

I really hate both teams. I don't want to see the Steelers or BigBen win another SB.

60 minutes just had a report on this guy who has won millions & millions betting on football. I wonder if he had the Jets. I wonder if he had the Seahawks last week.

 

I freely admit it. I can no more predict football than I can climb Mt. Everest.

Yeah, the NFL has become ridiculously unpredictable.

 

I have a really hard time rooting for a rapist, so, while the Jets are annoying, at least their players only get DUIs and the like.

I may not like Ben, but I love Mike Tomlin...easy call for me to root for the Steelers.

Packers vs. Steelers

Packers vs. Jets

Bears vs. Steelers

Bears vs. Jets

 

I'd prefer the 4th one.

Looking at the four remaining teams, defense definitely reigned supreme this year. A nice change of pace after the Saints, Colts, and Cardinals each earned SB bids the past two years.

what sort of alternate universe is bart scott living in? where have people been disrespecting the jets' defense and talking about how great the pats' defense is? everyone knows the jets are very good defensively and everyone thought that the patriots' defense was their achilles heel.

For a franchise as proud as the Pats, they've had 3 rather embarrassing playoff losses in the last 4 seasons. The first was the Super Bowl that ruined their season. The next was last years collapse at home against the Ravens. And now there is tonight which is pretty embarrassing even though they weren't the ones initiating the trash talks.

For a franchise as proud as the Pats, they've had 3 rather embarrassing playoff losses in the last 4 seasons. The first was the Super Bowl that ruined their season. The next was last years collapse at home against the Ravens. And now there is tonight which is pretty embarrassing even though they weren't the ones initiating the trash talks.

 

They need a deep threat receiver and a pass rusher. They do have plenty of picks in the first few rounds though.

Yeah, he was great tonight, there's no denying that. But he's still a crappy quarterback.

 

Even JaMarcus Russell had a couple good games.

If anything, can the playoff results show that the NFC South wasn't really all that this year, and benefitted from the NFC West/Carolina on the schedule to inflate their records?

The great Tom Brady still hasn't won a Super Bowl in six years and has now lost 3 straight playoff starts, all against teams seeded 5 or worse. Maybe the Bill Simmons-led Brady love parade can take a pause for a little while.
