What, no love for Tom Goodwin?

I was going to say I loved him for his clutch, extra-innings triple in the 2003 NLCS, but B-R says that was Glanville. How many bad CFs did that team have?

I just looked them up. That team had some awful players on it period.

Goodwin, Glanville, Jose Hernandez and Trenidad Hubbard - no, really - all made at least one start in center field in 2003 behind Patterson and later Lofton. Woof.

Did Troy O'Leary ever lead off?

No, but he actually got starts in the nos. 3, 4 and 5 spots in the lineup. Again, woof.

2003 was lightning in a bottle. Sure was a hell of a lot of fun, though. Up until that game that shall not be named.

Are you not impressed with .484 OPS he had with us?

He does have the most pinch hits of all time after all.

Is 4-3 on a roster right now?

I don't know who 4-3 is here, but if it's the same guy I call 4-3 LaRussa will make sure he's signed by the end of spring training.

Ahh, Pierre is the 4-3 here.

Yep, he's getting $8.5 million from the White Sox this year, according to Cot's.

 :rotfl:

Who's your 4-3?

Ozzie Timmons got 3 leadoff PAs with the Cubs in his two years with them. And hey, he had a .500 OBP in those three plate appearances.

So he got on base one and a half times?

The White Sox are only paying 5 of that. Pierre is still on that horrific contract the Dodgers gave him after his Cubs stint. Just another casualty of the bloodbath that was the 2006 free agent period.
