The officiating has been really bad in the Jags-Colts game.

 

I thought picking up the false start flag (which I've never seen before) was hilarious. They also flagged Indy for a defenseless receiver hit which was borderline at best but didn't flag the Jags just now for a hit on Collie that was worse.

 

 

The hit on Collie was fine, it was his head bouncing off the ground that caused the injury.

 

Based on what they flagged the Colts for earlier, it wasn't fine. I agree that neither should have been called but the refs set a different precedent earlier.

Read the thread. I never made the case that it should have been flagged.

why were neither of these two guys taken on the first day of the draft? (rhetorical question)

The next time Rex Grossman gets an 11th-hour start at QB I'm going to make sure I pick him up instead of Alex Smith in fantasy football.

How ridiculous. The referees just overturned their own call without even being challenged. Someone please put Winter out to pasture already.

 

That would have been one of the most inexcusably bad calls of the year had they not overturned it.
