Just one of those years. Hopefully we're on the good side of the luck coin next year.

It can't get a lot worse as far as injuries to key players go. The Packers are still a young team who can only get better from here. They've drafted well the last few years, too. They'll be in contention, I'm sure.

Per ESPN: Rodgers is officially out of tomorrow night's game. Matt Flynn will be the staring QB for the Packers.

It's going to be a bloodbath, folks. Like lions v. Christians in the Roman Colosseum.

The Colts and Packers keep upping the ante for who has the worst injuries this season. Simply brutal. It would be fitting if both teams were basically eliminated on the same day tomorrow.

As a Bears fan, I actually feel just a smidge bad for the Packers. They are easily one of the best 6 teams in the NFC, but have had some horrible luck this year.

If the Packers lose tomorrow night, and the Eagles beat the Giants tomorrow, then the Pack gets Rodgers back and beats the Giants at home the next week. We will most likely be looking at the NFC playoffs without what I consider to be the 2 most dangerous teams in the conference.

Of course this is all assuming the Bears beat the Vikings and the Bucs keep winning, which looking at their schedule, I think they will. It would indeed be huge for the entire NFC though, because I actually don't think the Falcons are that unbeatable. It would take close to a perfect game to win a game in Atlanta, but still.

Exactly. Atlanta is not unbeatable, even at home where Ryan is like 20-1. They're home wins since their home opener? A 2-pt win vs. a terrible SF team on a FG w/ 2 seconds left, a 1 score win vs. a terrible Bengals team where they had to hold on after having a 24-3 lead at halftime, needed a goalline stand to beat Tampa, a late score to beat Baltimore, and a last second win where they were outplayed by GB.

Then you have New Orleans, but the advantage they have gets neutralized by the fact they will have to go on the road to win 3 games in the playoffs.

And another reason to root for that scenario is if for some reason the Eagles beat out the Bears for the 2nd seed, the Bears get a nice consolation prize in getting to play the warm-weather Bucs in freezing Chicago in the 1st round.

Yep. We've been able to overcome a ton of injuries this season, but we can't overcome the Rodgers one. You guys would obviously be in a similar position if Peyton were to fall victim to an injury.

Tampa Bay has had quite a few injuries the last few weeks as well.

The officiating has been really bad in the Jags-Colts game.

I thought picking up the false start flag (which I've never seen before) was hilarious. They also flagged Indy for a defenseless receiver hit which was borderline at best but didn't flag the Jags just now for a hit on Collie that was worse.

Peyton Manning has now set career-highs for completions and attempts in a season with 2.5 games to go.

That PI call which led to the Jags field goal was really ticky-tack. I mean, come on, that contact happens every covered throw down field (I've seen way worse by both teams in this game).

The hit on Collie was fine, it was his head bouncing off the ground that caused the injury.
