Six turnovers in a half is pretty impressive.

My dad called me a few minutes ago when this game was at 27-14 and Hawaii about to score, wondering if the teams were going to hit the over of 74. 151 seconds and four touchdowns later, I'd say it's a pretty safe bet they're going to do it with four minutes left in the third quarter and only a TD or two FGs needed.

Um, wow. Jim Tressel is stepping down from tOSU after the Sugar Bowl.

Sounds like he's pulling a Pete Carroll.

All I can find is a sportstales.com report, which is just a website of madeup stories and spam, and posting by a chicagonow.com blog.

There's nobody semi-legitimate that has even mentioned Tressel's name today.

Yeah, I saw the chicagonow post and figured that it was reputable.

I can't believe that there were 37 passes thrown in the AF-GT game tonight. Way more than I would have expected.

I'd be surprised if he's allowed to return to the team. That's probably the final nail in the coffin.

God dammit

Meh, I wasn't really expecting him back.

Do Mizzou fans have any opinions on this game?

I think the general Iowa fan apathy towards this game has rubbed off on me. Add to the fact that Mizzou is playing a team that has disappointed and then lost a bunch of guys to disciplinary measures, and it makes it worse. Like I've said before, it's kinda a lose-lose situation. Either Mizzou does what they're supposed to and there isn't much glory in beating a team with 6 losses, or they have the embarrassment of losing to a 5 loss team missing half their offense.

As for the game itself, I think if Mizzou can show they can score early, then I expect them to cover with some ease. If they're at 10 points or fewer going into the half, then I'll be pretty nervous(note: I will probably be nervous regardless).

I get what you're saying but Iowa will be ready to play. Ferentz will have them motivated and set to go like he always does for bowl games. I expect something similar to the '06 Alamo Bowl against Texas.

Missing half of our offense is a bit of an overstatement. As far as rushing the ball Coker isn't a downgrade from Robinson. Hopefully with a month of #1 reps he's improved in the passing game. DJK is obviously a big loss though. Not sure what WR will step up opposite of McNutt. As far as the preview, he should realize that Jewel was already out for the year and only played in 1.5 games. Coker has also gotten 3 starts (and was the only guy in 2 of them) so this isn't his first extended duty of the year.

Come on Gary, you gotta go for it there.

Oh well, if you're going to be down 7-3 after a possession each, that's the way to do it. Able to move the ball pretty well, and they stopped the run well on D.
