This play by play guy on TNT is god awful

Dick Stockton, the reason why the Cubs were swept in 07 and 08.

I really, really, really want to hear who deserves the MVP over Rose through the first half of the season.

YAY.

Can't wait for next week.

orlando

Im womdering what we do with Thomas and Asiks minutes when Jo is back

Clearly the MVP at this point. No doubt about it.

I can't fathom the thought of what this team would be like with Beasley instead of Rose. Man the Bulls were lucky to get that pick.

Thomas is going to need about 10 games off to rest. But I really like what Asik is doing. Yet he still only deserves second string minutes which is what he will get.

in his first 3 years, rose could go ROY/ASG/MVP

has anyone ever done that?

MJ did if you don't count his 85-86 season in which he missed 60-odd games as a full season.

Of course, he got to the ASG his rookie year.

Noah's going to probably need to ramp up his minutes coming back. Rest Thomas, let Asik share time with Noah as he gets in game shape.

ESPN:

If the Bulls' defense is currently a dark ale, Noah's return should transform them into a drink-with-a-spoon oatmeal stout.

How is that the first time Rose got 40? I was watching last night and he put up 11 in the first and as he got his 10th point in the 2nd quarter, I thought to myself, "he's going to put up 40 tonight". I can't believe it was the first time he actually did it though.

I think with the valuable time Thomas and Asik have gotten over the last 2 months, the Bulls can be aggressive in the next week in the trade market. I think they can afford to give up Taj if that's what it takes to add a SG to the rotation. Even if they give up a draft pick, I think they can find another PF for the rotation next year if necessary.

I almost don't want to say it. But since the Bulls have been playing outstanding without him anyway, does Noah become that piece in a trade deal if it nets you another big name guy?

The thing is, I don't think there are other teams out there that can say they're steamrolling into the playoffs, and have a guy like Noah not even contributing to it. It's luxury that I believe the Bulls alone have.

Not at all. The only big names available are Melo and maybe Chris Paul at some point next year. Melo would change the whole team philosophy and would take a huge adjustment by everyone. Paul isn't an option because he plays the same position as Rose.

Noah can come back into the team without the rest of the guys missing a beat, because he is a role player. Just so happens he's the best role player in the NBA.

[expletive] no.

I hope not!

Noah IS a big name guy, and a top 5 player at his position.

The Bulls don't need to do anything drastic going forward. A decent 2 this offseason (or, by some miracle, by this deadline) will make them a championship contender for years to come.

This roster just needs tweaking. Not an overhaul of any kind.

I hate ESPN, but I watched SportsCenter this morning, and their coverage of last night's game was pretty nice.

Especially the part where they zeroed in on the MVP chant.

Cool. And I don't have anything specific in mind.

It just occurred to me that this is a differentiator between the Bulls and a lot of other teams. It's a nice luxury to have.

And the Bulls become the first NBA team to defeat every team in the Western Conference.

To expound on this, the Bulls are going to be the only team to defeat every team in the Western Conference. Boston, Atlanta and Miami were swept by Dallas, Orlando was swept by Utah, and everybody else in the East is terrible.
