It always makes me insanely jealous to see yet another team celebrate a World Series championship.

I'm so incredibly jealous right now.

 

But...if the Giants can do it with their group of castoffs and nobodies, maybe there's hope for the Cubs.

Prior to this, I could have seen the Rangers really taking off, as many others have said. New and ostensibly better ownership, a huge TV contract, an influx of new fans drawn in by the postseason run, and they've always been in a pretty decent-sized market.

 

Now I could just as easily see them being like the Arizona Cardinals - from obscurity to the losing end of a title and back again.

 

So the question is, where does Texas go from here?

I don't think they are going anywhere without Cliff Lee. And he is probably going to New York.

Assuming Lee is gone, Feliz and Holland should get moved to the rotation. The AL West should be winnable next year for the Rangers, even if their rotation takes a step back.

I think the Giants are a better team then some here are giving credit for. From the outside looking in one thing that I really like about them is that Bochy seems to have no problems playing the better player. I wonder how long our last couple of managers would have held out hope that Rowand would get better or made some stupid reason to keep Molina.
