Who is the best team in the NFC East?

nobody, they all suck

Eagles would beat the Bears, Bears might beat the Redskins.

If they start Vick they'd probably beat the Bears. Kolb is awful.

So are the panthers just terrible?

Everyone on the team has looked like crap except Smith and Kasay. The line is awful at pass and run blocking, so Williams and Stewart haven't done anything and Moore's been running for his life and making awful decisions. The defense looked hideous against Josh Freeman (who admittedly, seems like he might actually be pretty good). About the only thing they have been able to do is be decent at run defense.

And Fox says he doesn't know who starts at QB on Sunday. For the love of God, don't pull a Quinn/Anderson on me. You yanked Moore from a game that was far from over with 8 minutes left. Please do not throw him back out there with a target on his back now. If the Panthers wanted Moore to keep playing, they should not have yanked him. The missiles are in the air now.

Why? The Eagles aren't a very good football team. Their defense has been uninspiring thus far to say the least. I mean they allowed Shaun freaking Hill to throw for 335 yards.

I think the Bears could beat any team in the NFC East or West.

weird feeling seeing the bengals beat the ravens and still feeling pretty crappy about the game.

carson palmer has turned into an awful quarterback. :(

I was at the game. They didn't impress me one bit. Starting 0-2, including a loss to Tampa Bay at home, doesn't bode well. My hunch is this is Fox's last season as coach (if he even makes it through the season).

I'm going back in three weeks for the Bears' game, which I now see as a very probable win for the Bears.

The Titans were embarassingly bad yesterday. Seven turnovers in one game is awful. The defense was good, at least.

I'm hoping Fisher's decision to bench Vince and play Kerry Collins won't start a QB controversy. I'm thinking it was just a one-game kind of thing, but with the drama that's surrounded Vince, this story will probably go the entire week.

Fisher sure does like to bench that guy.

I think he really likes Collins. It wouldn't surprise me if his preference would be to play Kerry Collins, but Bud Adams won't let him. That said, Vince was truly horrific yesterday.

It's been going on for awhile now. Nobody was talking about it last year because they were winning, but he had a really mediocre year (which I'm sure you knew already). I feel bad for Bengals fans for what happened in that playoff game 5 years ago. I don't think he's been the same since.

I hate football. Last year, Iowa and the Vikings were both undefeated until October 25th. Entering December 6th they had combined for 3 total losses. They've now lost 3 out of their first 5 combined games.

Couldn't happen to two better teams.

Well, I'll concede I'd rather see Green Bay suck. But with Favre on the Vikings it's almost as good. However, given that I was at Illinois when the Pearl thing happened, I loathe Iowa with a passion.

Yeah but you're an Illinois fan. You really shouldn't even speak about college football in public.

Being an Illinois fan frees me from high expectations in football. It actually makes things much easier.

If something happens with Vincent Jackson it will happen today or tomorrow most likely. I'm torn on that whole deal. Yeah a 2nd rounder is a lot to give up for a guy whom you might only have for one year, but the window is closing. This WR's are awful now with Percy dinged up and no Sidney. You're probably going to start 1-3 and that's if you can win at Detroit. You need him to survive that rough middle of the season and then you may have a chance to rattle off a nice streak at the end.

What was up with Kubiak's call in OT? 4th and 4 at their 35 and you punt? In a game with almost 1,000 yards of offense where your QB has thrown for over 400? What a wuss.

Hahah, yeah. I find being an Illinois fan in general does that :)

A chuckle from FO's reaction to the Green Bay-Buffalo game:

I think the overall feeling of the GB-BUF game can be summarized in a single play:

1-10-BUF 30 (12:22) (Shotgun) 12-A.Rodgers pass deep right to 89-J.Jones for 30 yards, TOUCHDOWN. Penalty on BUF, Defensive Offside, declined. Penalty on BUF, Defensive 12 On-field, declined.

He was a system QB in college for a team that beat up on the Little Orphan Annies of the college football world. The fact that he was a second round pick is a joke.

I think I'd want to see more than just a single game of badness before declaring he's awful, period. Didn't he play well in some starting duty last year?

Posted
I heard a bunch of racist Eagles fans who always hated McNabb even though he won getting all pissy about Vick possibly taking the job from Kolb. I think Reid's going to be able to go back to Kolb without much negative reaction from the public.

Kolb in five games last year (2 starts):

64.6 comp %, 4:3 TD:INT, 7.7 y/a, 88.9 rating

Not earth shattering, but decent – except for that TD:INT ratio.

The whole dog thing is probably keeping a lot of people negative about Vick as well.
