win at all costs. one thing i credit your irish for not doing, notre dame at least has a sense of dignity in terms of being an academic institution. players attend class and don't get arrested.

 

these schools have a couple down years, fire their coaches, bring in new ones and tell them that they don't care how it gets done, as long as it does. florida will eventually pay.

 

yeah, i didn't become a fan of ND b/c of the way the program is run. I became a fan b/c of Tim Brown and Rocket Ismail. But now that I'm old, I take pride in the program. Even when they're having down seasons, at least the players are being arrested for drinking at a party rather than beating up their gfs or taking money from agents. And if SB and the SB police didn't hate Notre Dame with every fiber of their being, there would probably be half as many arrests b/c they'd let the piddly crap like a few guys drinking in a house across from campus go unnoticed.

In all honesty, NC State isn't that good, but I could see them challenging for the ACC title this year. The ACC is really that average across the board.

 

Oh, and go Pirates tomorrow in Blacksburg! What the hell is a Hokie anyway?

NC State looked a lot better than they have the past couple of years when I've seen them. I think they're on the way up, for sure.

 

As for ECU, after losing to James Madison last week, Va Tech is either going to have given up, or they're going to be pissed.

Fair assessment, on all accounts. My main beef is that ECU is a 19.5 pt underdog (last I heard on Thursday) to VT. THEY LOST TO JIMMY FREAKING MADISON!!! I mean seriously. I get they may be pissed off....but 20 points! Come to think of it, anybody know of any legit gambling sites?

New system, new coach, freshman qb, freshman rb, young at a lot of key positions. First road game for a lot of guys. I'm not surprised we lost. G-Tech is probably not as good as their rating, but they don't suck. KU's gonna be up and down all season.
