Yeah, the Marlins were being a bunch of fucks over this. Morgan has been acting like an ass himself, but when you've already hit him and other Nats, why keep it up? They were obviously trying to get this to this level.

What's lost in this is that the Nationals lost 16-10... they were down by 10 runs, but still made it a fairly close game. I never saw a rule in baseball (written or "unwritten") that says if you're losing you have to pack up and go home. Marlins need to suck it up and quit being a bunch of whiners.

Was it really the stolen bases that set off the second attempt? That's dumb. Some of the announcers were saying they knew this was going to happen. I could understand if the team that was leading was stealing bases, but if you are up big, why do you care if the other team is stealing a base?

There does seem to be a lot of stuff going on with this guy and I'm guessing the Marlins were well aware that Morgan has been acting like a person who wants to be the bad guy.

It was the FOURTH inning and his team was losing. He got himself not only into scoring position, but 90 feet away from home plate. Could have scored on a passed ball, wild pitch, base hit, etc. You can't expect to chip into a lead without scoring runs.

I agree, it's very dumb. I'm guessing if none of that happened before, then the SBs would have been viewed as annoying, but they wouldn't throw at him again. I'm guessing that was the final straw, like when spouses fight about the dishes but it has very little to do with the actual dishes.

Agreed. High school baseball or amateur baseball fine. But when you are in the major leagues, you should be able to steal all you want down 10 in the 4th inning.

yeah, but down so many runs, you don't need guys getting CS, you need runners on base. What if he had gotten thrown out? I guess the notion was more stupid than anything.

The glove slam, and both catcher "collisions" definitely are douchey... go back and watch the clips.

 

I'll let the SBs slide. Either way, all of the plays and incidents show Morgan as an idiot if nothing else.
