Do I root for UCLA to win to make the Pac 10 look better (or not terrible) or do I hope they continue to be incompetent so they don't start stealing all the good players while SC is down?

You'd be better off worrying about Oregon, Cal, Washington, etc.

Even when UCLA gets the talent it doesn't really matter.

It's a self fulfilling prophecy. They can't get good skill players (have they had one since MoJo D?) so they play really awful, boring offensive football and no one good gets fired up about going there.

I am going to boldly predict that the winner of next weeks ND/Mich game will be ranked way to high

yeah as in, if they're ranked then they're way too high.

I don't think either of these teams gets into the top 25 starting 2-0. There are a lot of people that are skeptical of both. Plus, I'm not expecting a clean win for either next week. Probably a close, somewhat sloppy game.

Was good to see ND able to bounce back after making it much too close with some dumb mistakes. Hopefully Kelly's motivation, toughness, and conditioning will start to erase the bad memories the team has of late losses the last few years.

I think the winner gets in fairly easily unless it's just a horrible mess of a game.

oregon won 72-0, outgained new mexico 751-119 and ran two punts back for TDs. that is an ass whipping.

I'm guessing the blocking sled put up more of a challenge than UNM.

Wow...

Very close to illegal man downfield. I'm not sure that was caught behind the line of scrimmage.

Not an exaggeration to say that was the worst loss in the history of the program.

Making the girl drive back because I'm so flustered (read: about to start drinking) I can't drive.

That is precisely what happens when you take your foot off the gas. Nutt is like best friends with that Jax coach. We put up almost 400 yards and 31 points in the first half on them then we start running vanilla garbage and all of the sudden they are back in the game. Nutt isn't to blame for the pathetic defensive effort at the end of the game, but he definitely deserves blame for taking his foot off the gas because he didn't want to embarrass his friend by running up the score.

On a positive note, Nathan Stanley looked very good (in the first half when Nutt actually let him throw the ball). Masoli played well also I thought.

Well, the recruiting has been getting better there but I'd love to see a real QB. The talent is really lacking on the lines, even though it's been a priority for a few years.

Wow Ole Miss.

I know how you feel, man. I still haven't gotten over The Horror in 2007.
