That article is a breath of fresh air among the idiocy that is the Jay Cutler toughness discussions today. Thanks for posting

Because there's nothing idiotic about questioning his "concentration levels" and "day-to-day energy."

Awful.

In the article Stark says that he thinks Starlin will be good even though he "has some reservations about his concentration levels and day-to-day energy." Dumb.

I think my head is going to explode if these ridiculous body language and "demeanor" arguments get carried over from the Bears to the Cubs.

Somebody better call Servicepro to clean up the mess.

Remember Corey Patterson? Barry Rozner masturbates while both reading and writing those articles.

Well, he's Latino so he can pretty much only have concentration issues or a real flair for the game.

I dont know where to get ST stats. How has Castro looked so far?

Here you go:

http://mlb.mlb.com/team/player.jsp?player_id=516770

1 K in 19 ab's is not bad. No need to worry about walks when he hits .474.

my personal feeling is that great players get walked, they don't look for walks. if castro continues to hit well, he will be walked a lot.

I dunno...there's enough Hall of Famers with low walk rates out there to make me question that.

Anyone thinking he can jump to 10 homers or so this year? I'm kind of thinking it's a possibility, where I was thinking 5-6 was most likely where he'd wind up at previously.

I don't know what to take from his lowered GB rate because its spring training. But if its sustainable...with 100 more PA's in the bigs than he got last year, I wouldn't be shocked. But I imagine he will have to get a little lucky to get there.

Sure, he can make it to 10. Ryan Theriot once hit 7, and he sucks.

Maybe I'm remembering it wrong, but didn't he hit like 4 or 5 of those in about a two week span? Then nothing (almost literally) for the next couple of months.
