i still haven't found this out. how much is carey price likely to make next season? i want him

I've heard something like $2.5 million thrown around, plus he's an RFA. So basically, about the same as Niemi. I'd rather have him than Niemi, but I don't think we can afford either.

More people probably care about this here than in the video game thread.

The page got taken down at EA, but of course someone screenshotted it...

That's 2 Blackhawks in a row if you're counting along at home.

is he confirmed for the cover? awesome (and surprising) if true.

That's the assumption that's being made, but no...there's not a confirmation yet. Just that screenshot of the EA site.

But sure seems like that's the way it's gonna go.

a new awesome thing i just learned about toews: he is the youngest (and 24th ever) player to join the triple gold club (olympic gold medal, world championship gold medal, stanley cup). forsberg was the youngest before that.

Usually athletes and "Gold Clubs" don't work out so well.

I think usually it works out great for all parties involved. It's just the times you hear about it that something went wrong.

Wow has any sports title ever put 2 players on the same team on the cover of their game in consecutive years?

Internationally, yes. Tony Parker was on the French cover of NBA Live for 2 years in a row. Pau Gasol was on the Spanish one for 3 years in a row.

But in the US....I can't find any....at least not EA titles.

Technically, not teammates, though

The Stanley Cup champion Blackhawks will play an exhibition game against the Tampa Bay Lightning in Winnepeg in the fall.

True North Sports & Entertainment Limited said Wednesday the Blackhawks will play the Lightning on Sept. 22 at the MTS Center.

When I read fall, I was thinking some weird in-season exhibition.

98 days until the next Chicago Blackhawks game. That doesn't seem very far away.

That's about 1/2 of a baseball offseason for a team that doesn't make the playoffs.

I'm always surprised when preseason hockey starts up again. The offseason seems like nothing when you don't follow the sport much.

The Blackhawks will play again before the Cubs last game.

It's also nothing when you go deep into the playoffs, but fairly long if you don't make them.
