Why would the Latin players (assuming its just Z and Aramis) be pissed at the non-latin players?

it was in the comments of a blog and it seems like the sort of thing that could possibly happen, i don't see why you're not just accepting this on blind faith.

This really isn't that hard to believe. Ramirez's body language out on the field lends me to believe he's just going through the motions. He's got his option for next year, so he doesn't have to work too hard this year. We'll see good numbers from him next year, though, as he'll be in his contract year.

Kind of disappointing, though. I thought Rammy was better than that.

Yeah, I can't believe Ramirez would do all that stuff you just imagined. I thought your fantasy of him was better than that.

You obviously didn't

I can Rammy being a douche, but having a big year this season would have behooved him, so I don't think he has mailed it in at all.

I mean, I know I can opt out after this season and make a [expletive] load of money, but personally, I like the be 1 year removed from a hideous full season performance to be my pitch when becoming a free agent.

The last thing this team needs to do is concentrate on is hazing the young talent. If someone is angry with Ramirez because he won't let Castro be abused then consider what he might be protecting the kid from...

There are going to be very unhappy players on the team. Some are going to be unhappy with the way Ramirez parts his hair, since he's hitting well below Mendoza. I figure, if Lou thinks there's a real problem, he'd take action.

I have no idea why Ramirez is getting the no work tag, but since he's injured, there might be a very good reason. I'm guessing that Ramirez is pretty close to finished. Both he and Z can't be weighing in too heavily on control of the team.... Neither one is even close to earning their salaries. Of course, Zambrano could just pound anyone into submission if they don't like him calling the shots...

Hey, it's time to clean house in Chicago. Build this team around some young players. See if anyone wants to take Lee, Soriano, Ramirez, Zambrano and some of their contracts.... This team is a mess and it isn't gonna get fixed any time soon.

Of course there are problems in the clubhouse. Name one veteran player who is playing well enough to lead.

Byrd, Silva, Marmol, Soriano. Thats 4 what do I win?

wait why does anyone believe this

Not saying I'm totally blowing it off, but people that automatically believe this are doing so because they want to believe it's true IMO.

has Lou stopped shaving?

Not only has he stopped shaving, but in that photo he looks really pale and even sickly.

When Aramis hit that HR a few weeks ago, he had a look like "finally. thank god". It seemed like the look of a player who cared that he was struggling. For what it's worth.

He looks like he is in Week 3 of Cubs Survivor.

The whole thing is quite plausible (I can imagine Ramirez being an enormous douche), since scrutiny can make people do funny things. But I don't necessarily believe it.

During the whole Bradley ordeal, Ramirez was the calmest most rational one, with Soriano a close second.

Then again, maybe they blamed all the white boys for selling out bradley like that.

Wow, that's quite a leap. Why would I want it to be true?

I find it plausible simply because they have been very bad (including losing several close games), Z's issues have been well-documented, and Ramirez is having the worst season of his career by a long ways. Its not unusual for people to get frustrated and start acting out in this sort of situation. I'm not saying its the end of the world, I am just saying its plausible.

Not sure I follow the logic here. Ramirez being calm about Bradley really has nothing to do with this. I think that - if the report is true - he's doing it more because he's in a very bad place and very frustrated.

He acted appropriately when many little bitch boys, namely theriot, were willing to squeel like pigs about how much they didn't approve of Bradley. He's been a steady force for several years and never any inkling of being a problem, but now that he's having a bad year every moron out there wants to hop on the Rozner bandwagon and rip the guy to shreds.

Ok, but I'm not one of them. Aramis has been the player I have most admired during the last 5-6 years. He shows up each and every year and puts up excellent nos. - since 2004 he's never had a season where his OPS-plus dipped below 126.

But he and the team have been really bad so far, so it woudldn't surprise me if he's acting out.
