Bulls are a contender if they get him. Immediately. But, when all is said and done, I don't think Lebron wants to have to follow Mike. I just don't think it's in his personality. i really hope I'm wrong here.

This myth has already been debunked. If he doesn't come to Chicago, it won't be because he doesn't want to follow Michael.

How has it been debunked? Because a few people in the media said they don't think it's an issue?

Either way, if it's true that a big part of the Bulls pitch was about Jordan, then I think that was a horrible, horrible mistake.

James himself has said he had no problems following Jordan. If he means it is another story.

Go figure, Bucher's backtracking on his report.

What report?

Yeah some people on RealGM are wondering if he ever said that. Nobody ever actually saw the tweet.

Either way, it's Bucher so it doesn't mean anything. I still think he's going to Miami, and I don't think he'd fly there today and risk people finding out. He wants the suspense for tomorrow night so EVERYONE watches.

What report?

Riley and LBJ tomorrow morning

It was supposed to be tonight, actually. Everyone is now refuting it though

This following in MJ's footsteps is so overblown. If LeBron is going to make a decision based on that, then more power to him.

The guy hasn't played in Chicago in nearly 15 years. People already have forgotten about him. Look at all the idiots who actually think Kobe is better than MJ was. People think Kobe is the best Laker ever, better than Magic or Kareem, 15-20 years after them. If LeBron wins championships with Chicago, then its all good for LeBron.

Is he actually going to make a decision based on the ghost of MJ? Says who? David Falk? To me, its an absurd notion.

as much as this has been gut-wrenching for bulls fans (even fake ones), as an outsider, this has been absolutely fascinating to watch play out.

do i count as a fake fan it i was ridiculous obsessed with the bulls and the nba until i was about 16, then lost interest in basketball?

hmm, when did you pick it back up? i have to know that before i make my ruling

My dream LeBron special: He comes out, grabs the mic, looks at the camera, says "Clippers," drops the mic, and leaves.

I'd almost be ok with the Bulls losing out on Lebron if that specific scenario would actually take place.

Unless you ever uttered the sentence, "I think this Dalibor Bagaric guy has huge upside. He's like a young Kukoc," you're not a real Bulls fan.

Btw, the JA Adande stuff about the Bulls choking their presentation is garbage. Consensus still is, and really always has been, 1 Cavs, 2 Bulls, 3 Heat, 4 Nets, 5 Knicks.

and he plays in front of the best fanbase in the country.

Ugh.

Say what you want. I've lived in Chicago for 15 years, New York for 15 years, live in California now. There is no city as sports crazed as Chicago. It has the combination of a large population and a sports crazed fan-base. NY can't compare. I don't think any other city can, quite frankly. Not even Boston.

Look at the Cubs attendance when the team is marginal. Look at the Blackhawks victory parade. I'd like to see another city have that kind of turnout for a world series or superbowl parade. This is after they had an owner for years who didn't put games on TV. Look at the Bears. Brian freaking Urlacher is one of the most famous athletes in the country and sells more jerseys than many better football players. The Bulls filled the arena when they sucked.

I love NY, I love California. And to be honest, I'd rather live in either NY or California than Chicago now. But in terms of being a sports town, there's no comparison.

Nothing you or anyone else say could ever convince me that declaring one city's fans best isn't completely ridiculous. But I will admit that you have better reasons than Cardinals fans.

What?

Regular season wins don't always matter when it comes to the playoffs. Two times in a row Cleveland had a great record and did squat in the playoffs. In the playoffs, Cleveland's lack of secondary options means that a good team will beat them 4/7. This is much harder to do in the regular season. The playoffs are about matchups. Cleveland doesn't match up very well against playoff teams.

All I said was I think the Bucks are better than the bulls

Yep - That Brandon Jennings/Andrew Bogut/John Salmons/Drew Gooden quartet scares the piss out of me!

The Bucks went 22-9 in the 2nd half last year (bascially around the time we got Salmons)

Almost beat Atlanta in the first round with out Andrew Bogut.

This year Charlie Bell, Dan Gadzuric, Kurt Thomas, Hakim Warrick and Jodie Meeks won't be on the team. That alone will be an improvment. They added a good scorer and rebounder in Maggette and a good rebounder in Gooden. Jennings was a 20 year old rookie last year, who didn't even play that much the year before. He will improve. Oh and you realize Andrew Bogut is a really really good basketball player right? Like probably only behind Howard in the East good. They have good depth coming off the bench with LRBM, Delfino, and Illyasova. Douglas-Roberts will be in the mix somewhere as well. Just need a back up point guard to really solidify the bench.

The Bucks and Bulls are really similar actually. Both have a really nice PG-C combo. Rose obviously is the better PG, however Noah is no Andrew Bogut either. The Boozer signing should really help on the offensive end. Obviously the Bulls are gonna need a couple or at least one real 3PT threat for Rose. That would really help alot. What does the Bulls bench look like right now? (Assuming they don't sign LeBron)

Multiple sources are telling Newsday that LeBron James has decided to join Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh in Miami. The new Big Three is here.

I'm wondering who "multiple sources" are personally......I actually thought that this WOULD stay a secret until the announcement........I guess we can hope on until it's confirmed somewhere though.

Haha awesome. I love rivalries in the NBA, and we already had 1 with Miami before all this, and now its going to get even better.

There are no real rivalries in the NBA anymore though, that's just talk to get fans excited. Those guys are all cool with each other.

I want to talk about how the Bulls should pull the trigger on that 3-way trade with the Pistons and Blazers.
