for me the lakers are the lesser of the 2 evils

everybody already hates kobe and the lakers. plus kobe is is legitimately one of the best players ever, so him winning another ring doesn't really change much. watching rondo, pierce, kg and rivers win another title would be unbearable, especially considering everyone wrote them off before the postseason started.

i'm sure i'd feel differently if i lived near LA though

I can't understand the hate for any of those people.

I'll always hate the Lakers and will return to being fairly ambivalent about the Celtics once this crop of players is gone.

Although it's entirely possible that I hate this current crop of Celtics so much that it'll outweigh my eternal hatred of the Lakers. I'm still conflicted.

I can't stand the Lakers. I can't stand Kobe. I can't stand Gasol. I can't stand Artest. My best friend is a Laker fan so that probably helps alot.

With the Celtics, Ray Allen was my fav player growing up as a Buck. I always liked KG with the Timberwolves and if they ever put talent around him they would of won alot when he was younger. However, you hear storys coming out of Minnesota with KG and I tend to not like him as much. I can understand the hate for Paul Pierce as well, but I don't understand the hate for Rondo at all.

Rondo was engaged in a bunch of goonery against the Bulls in last years playoffs. It's probably more of a Chicago-centric sort of hate.

I used to be an unabashed KG admirer too until he started screaming at the opposing team from the bench.

But Pierce is the one that really gets on my nerves. The wheelchair of death is just inexcusable in my book.

Love me some Paul Pierce.

So you're saying you have Paul Pierce commemorative wheelchairs in both Kansas and Boston colors?

I hate the Celtics. They just happen to be playing the one team I hate more. I really hope Boston pulls this out so I get to be in the epicenter of Lakers failure.

So just in Kansas colors, then?

Joking aside, I fully understand the Lakers hate. I'm sure a majority of their fans have a superiority complex. One of my good friends is a Yankees fan and he's pretty obnoxious about them and I imagine most Laker fans are the same way.

I like Kobe and I can't stand anything about the Celtics (Rondo's thuggishness last year, KG's ridiculous behavior the last two seasons, Pierce's wheelchair, and the fact that Boston fans are constantly [expletive] whining about the Gasol trade and completely ignore that a former Celtic gift-wrapped them KG for little more than an injury-prone poor man's version of him). I would have rooted for the Suns or Magic over either of these two teams, but the Lakers are fine to me.

i completely and totally lost respect for paul pierce after the wheelchair thing. what a complete joke.

and sense then, he's made it pretty easy to keep hating him.

gotta root for my former Jayhawks. He's not too shabby of a player, either. I don't care if he's been stabbed in the face and ridden a wheelchair.

Rivers I'll give you. Rondo I've got no problem with since I'm not a Bulls fan. But you can't understand it with Pierce or KG? Come on.

my hating of rondo really doesn't have anything to do with the bulls anways. he's just obnoxious and overly cocky. the whole thing with chris paul was pretty pathetic.

Don't have a good feeling about tonight.

I think Kobe has a bad shooting night and the Lakers lose by seven.

Rondo went to Kentucky -- Kentucky -- yet I can't hate him. Don't really understand the hate there.

It's pretty understandable for Bulls fans given some of the antics he pulled in last year's playoffs against the Bulls.

Ah, OK. I honestly don't remember antics, but that's not a series I really cared about much. I'll defer on that.
