The only bright spot is we're up against Jeff Suppan who is one of the worst pitchers in the major leagues

the bad thing is we're gonna have to deal with another 5 innings of wild ass crazy Z + bullpen and our offense just loves getting fooled by bad pitchers

i feel like a pitcher making $18 million should be better than this.

Heh, we say the same thing about our $18 million outfielder. I'm starting to think Jim Hendry may not be using our resources to their maximum effect.

Yep. Your 20 million dollar left fielder should probably be good enough to play everyday as well.

You're both right.

In positive news, the perv cam is in full swing today

Other positive (for now) news: St. Louis is down 2-1 after 6 to Houston.

That won't last.

STL has not looked very good in this homestand against the measly Astros.

Their pitching has though. Starters are just all gonna be Dave Duncan fixes this year I guess.

You mean like how he pitched really really well for us in his first start?

I think he means that by September the Cardinals fans would be excited to see Silva starting for them but the Cubs fans will most likely not be excited to see him as the probable starter.

How many World Series did Jeff Weaver help us win again?

That hasn't been a strike all day long.

strike 1 to aramis wasn't a strike by any measure, and certainly not by this guy's standards. he sucks.

Pretty sure there were a lot of guys who had a helluva lot more to do with their WS victory than Weaver. Like, you know, the best player in baseball.
