yeah why do you take out silva after 6 innings when he easily could go 1 or even 2 more the way he was going. What is he on a pitch count or something?

Looked like he might have been injured.

And Votto Ks again. :-))

i feel a little shameful satisfaction knowing that lou will have to get up there and answer for what he did after the game.

i seriously think lou has dimentia

And the offense is anemic so this one's most likely over.

Doesn't really help motivate the team when the manager just leaves the guy who blew inning out there seemingly out of spite.

This was so avoidable. There's no excuse for leaving him out there after he walks the first two guys, and certainly no excuse to leave him out there once the bases were loaded.

Hey Caridad, stop acting surprised you don't get that outside pitch called a strike after you have thrown in 20 [expletive] times in the inning and the ump hasn't called it a strike

So who will be the 8th inning guy next game? Surely not Grabow or Cardidad.

Should be Marshall

unfortunately we'll get to the 8th inning down 2 runs because every other reliever in the bullpen sucks balls

2 games we should have won and were 3-1 in first place instead of 1-3 and in last place.....thats how baseball works i suppose

it's what bad bullpens will get you.

To all those wondering why Silva was pulled, it's quite possible he may have tweaked something and lord knows we don't need any injuries this early in the year. That GS made me ill. :banghead:

The first two were called strikes, then I think his 6th or 7th one was. The ump was inconsistent with that corner.

That said, he needs to learn how to actually locate it in other spots when he's not getting that call.

When does guzman get back? I thought getting rid of Kevin Gregg would end a lot of this nonsense

I don't like saying this but. BINGO!! it's not "oh well baseball". It's having a few crap pitchers in your bullpen.

The biggest problem with the bullpen is Lou. He can't even manage a decent one to save his life, so it's just going to be even worse with one that you have to actually think about.

There wasn't much bullpen management to be able to be done tonight. 2 relievers were unavailable. Berg had already been used. The only guys left in the bullpen were Samardzija, Russell, and Marmol. They aren't going to use Marmol for a 6 out save the night after a 4 out one. Caridad was close to the zone on the first two batters. Which one of the other two do you really want to see there?

silva's expendable. it really doersn't matter if we break him.

I suppose the only good thing about having a shitty bullpen is that if we're bad enough that Hendry gets canned he won't have time to overpay for 10 other bullpen arms as an overreaction.

Caridad should have been yanked after the 2nd walk. He wasn't even coming close to the plate. Lou should have gotten off his fat ass and brought someone else in. It was obvious he didn't have anything today. This is on Lou.
