Well this pick is easy. It's got to be Jason Pierre-Paul - DE/OLB South Florida.

If this is the scenario that plays out someone will trade up into the low 20's to nab JPP but this isn't the actual draft. In this scenario the Cardinals would sprint the card up to the stage not wanting to risk waking up before they can get the pick in and I as a 49er fan would be throwing my remote at the TV.

Oh and if we get to pick 20 someone would not only want to trade up to get JPP but Bryant as well. Neither one of those guys will make it past the mid-20's. Unless someone the 49ers really like is available I wouldn't be surprised at all to see them trade down at 17 for someone who wants JPP or Dez. The 49ers have been one of the few teams to consistently make trades involving mid-to-late first round picks.

Yeah, there'd be a ton of trades the way this mock has gone.

vance and shnsajax are on the clock for the Cowboys' pick. I PMd them.

Sent Vance my suggestion, he's usually quick to respond.

No discussion is really needed here. While the Cowboys would like to get a safety and OL in this draft after the release of Hamlin and Flozell, the Cowboys are going to take the best player available.

Dez Bryant is a top ten maybe even top five talent. Getting him at 27 is a steal.

Cowboys select WR Dez Bryant.

If the real draft shakes out this way, I will need new pants. Bryant paired with Miles Austin would give the Cowboys a lethal combination of receivers.

I'll switch it up a bit here. It may be a bit of a reach at this spot, but I really like:

Ryan Matthews - RB - Fresno State

thinking possible pass rusher or pass receiver here, and the Jets have acquired or are in the process of acquiring both of these positions before the draft. Given the fact that they've acquired a young WR already and are still just in talks with an old pass rusher, I think I'll go Everson Griffen here.

Well none of the safeties or defensive tackles fell, so the pick is CB. There are three in this range that they could take, Robinson from FSU, Jackson from Alabama or McCourty from Rutgers. Robinson is out because he's weakest against the run. I took McCourty the first time and though it's a bit of a toss-up, I'm sticking with him.

The Vikings select Devin McCourty, cornerback from Rutgers.

Well, the three people who fell in this draft don't really help the Colts. Fans would love a Cody pick but he doesn't fit the system at all. Dunlap has some great tools and has the size and speed to fit the Colts system perfectly but they would hate his character and work ethic issues. I would have loved to draft Tate as a receiver/returner last year, but he would be way too much of a luxury right now.

So the Colts are staying with their original pick which was Charles Brown OT USC.

Rams will take Carlos Dunlap, DE Florida. Leonard Little has to retire soon, they've got nobody to replace him, and they get good value here.
