I've always liked the idea that Gus should just be in the studio at the ready when a game is close in the last 5 minutes.

I like it too. I'm sure all of the other commentators wouldn't but who cares if they suck the life out of the game.

7-1 in the early slate of games for the second day in a row. I can't wait to have another bad evening set of games.

 

Spero and Wenzel are the worst crew in the tournament by far. It shouldn't be that difficult to find eight good announcing crews, and CBS/Turner have done a better job of getting better announcing crews this time around. Having no Jay Bilas is criminal, though.

Don't know if anyone here knows Jon Rothstein who is horrible as the college basketball expert on CBS College Sports and apparently does radio stuff in NY. Anyways he said that Williams "is a combination of Amare Stoudamire and Michael Beasley" tonight on twitter. Yep.
