Venoy Overton was finally charged - providing alcohol to a minor but since Washington's age of consent is 16, he avoided statutory rape charges. He's suspended from any Washington game in the Pac-10 Tournament but will play in the NCAA Tournament if Washington makes it.

Refs just quit on the St. Johns game with 2 seconds left. Rutgers turned the ball over but the St. Johns player traveled and clearly stepped out of bounds with 1.7 seconds left but the refs completely ignored it and the game ended.

You cannot tell me that time remaining on the clock is not reviewable. That's an absolute travesty. And I don't even like Rutgers. Burr and Higgins need to lose their jobs. Seriously.

You could've wrote this response to pretty much any post on the board and it would've been no less true

Looking only at yesterday's games:

ORU 76 Oakland 90 (166) On the nose

Dayton 78 Mass 50 (127.5) .5 off

SC st 64 Del St 59 (124) 1 off

Prin70 Penn58 (126.5) 1.5 off

LaSalle 75 StBon 73 (149.5) 1.5 off

There were also a few 2 and 2.5 misses

All this on a day where only 20 games were played.

O/U for that game was 128.5. Final score: 65-63.

Wow.

I think you are too easily impressed.

i think he was wowing in relation to the referee job.

Exactly. Now I found this bit of info.

Opened at 130, bet down to 127. Lots of numbers to land on in-between.

I know absolutely nothing about this case, but I don't see how you can claim he "avoided" statutory rape charges. He, in fact, did not commit statutory rape as the age of consent is over sixteen -- as it is in a majority of states.

Hey guys, I "avoided" murder charges yesterday.*

*Because I didn't murder anyone yesterday.

Scott Drew should be hiding his face in shame. That team is a joke.

I would not be surprised to see yahoo have an article on Drew and Baylor in the future.

Drew is a sham.

I heard from an OU friend at work that there are rumblings they are going to dump Capel and go after Gillispie.

Yeah on their last podcast Gottlieb and Katz were talking about that. Gottlieb thinks Capel is gone. They were talking about how Gillispie would be a great fit at Texas Tech and Gottlieb said that Billy is telling people he's going to get the Oklahoma job.

"The Big East Conference acknowledges that two separate officiating errors occurred at the conclusion of the St. John's vs. Rutgers game," it read. "Both missed violations should have caused the game clock to stop and a change of possession to occur prior to the end of the game. Neither error is reviewable or correctable under NCAA playing rules."

oh ok, well no big deal then.

It appears that Baylor's Perry Jones has been suspended for at least tonight's game against OU.

the rumor is impermissible benefits

Evidently it was his AAU coach making two or three 15 day loans to Jones' mom (I didn't hear an amount) while he was still in HS. He also, evidently, didn't know about it. If that is true, I have no idea either way, how does this square with Newton being let off because he didn't know about the MS State offer?

My source was hearing it talked about it on the radio this morning, so take it for what it's worth. I'll try to find a link.

There's a big difference: Newton was the star of a team making a championship run. Jones is the star of the best bad team in the country, thus no one gives a crap.

Hopefully Drew wasn't involved. I'd hate to see a good coach wind up there.
