From MLBTR:

Milton Bradley told Tyler Kepner of the New York Times that "obviously, it was something with Chicago, not me." Bradley says the Cubs tried to make him a player he's not, expecting 30 home runs.

Milton seems to have a talent for saying things that aren't technically incorrect, in the worst possible way.

I don't think Milton's a bad guy, he just seems to enjoy being miserable.

I think he's a bad guy.

I think he has serious issues stemming from his childhood, that he should've gotten help for a long time ago. I think he immediately thinks the worst about people, and has problems trusting anyone.

I got a kick out of the "still running his mouth" line, like we've been inundated with comments from Bradley since isht went down at the end of last season.

The full quote, which actually makes it more ridiculous.

"Two years ago, I played, and I was good," he said. "I go to Chicago, not good. I've been good my whole career. So, obviously, it was something with Chicago, not me."

So you think it was the city that made him lose talent as a baseball player?

I think his treatment had an effect on his performance. Obviously that's his fault, and he did things to bring on the treatment as well.

There is a reason why Milton is going on his 9th team in his professional career. So this type of news isn't surprising for someone like Bradley who won't take responsible for his own actions.

He needs to be a man and admit he had a bad year. Plain and simple. Blaming the city just shows the type of character he has.

If he plays poorly in Seattle will it be their fault also?

"Still running his mouth"

Isn't this the first, maybe second, quote we've heard from him since he left? Meanwhile the Chicago media drops his name every time they get the chance. Maybe they should stop running their mouths, too.

I'm sure Kaplan got a boner reading about this and we can look forward to a 15-minute segment on Chicago Tribune Live where he screams about it.

It's also a safe bet that DeRosa will also be mentioned in that time.

dude wasn't hugged as a child or something....generally, i wish players well when they leave the Cubs, but I hope Bradley plays poorly this year.

Marlon Byrd has already homered as a Cub. ;)

Bradley had a monster spring for the Cubs.

I blame the Cubs more than I blame Milton, but I won't be playing violin music for Milton.

Media guys have not been fair to Milton, but one thing they could point out that is entirely fair is how many millions of dollars Milton misses out on each year in endorsements because of Milton Bradley.

He's the poster child of how not to behave if you get your ticket stamped for the big show.
