bud selig has basically done a decent job and also trolled baseball fans, i love him

he has some black marks (willful ignorance of steroid issue, all-star game meaning something, trying to contract the twins) but baseball is awash in money and has gone a long time without a labor stoppage. he's done a good job as commissioner.

The statue has to more of him as owner than commision, he fault hard to bring baseball back to Milwaukee and build Miller Park, that is why his is getting a statue, also there is a statue of the Fonz in downtown Milwaukee along the river.

I support this as long as it's Selig standing with his back towards McGwire who is hitting dingers.

In all seriousness, he probably deserves a pat on the back for his Brewers ownership and making sure a team stays in the city. Statue though? Seems a bit much, but whatever it's their money

I have never heard of it being crooked in bring the Brewers to Milwaukee, the Pilots were in bankrupsey court in Seattle and Mr. Selig and his group paid $10.5 million dollors for the team.

Yeah, I'm not really sure anybody can justify calling that crooked. It was a failed short-lived franchise.

Philadelphia has Rocky, Dogpatch has Jubilation T. Cornpone and Milwaukee has Bud. All's good with the world.

Let's not forget a certain Arthur Fonzerelli.

I'd love to have a crack at designing this statue. I swear it will be a perfect likeness.

While I have no idea what the finished product will look like (age, posture, etc.), I did notice that the statue is being designed by the same men who made the Yount and Aaron statues, so we can safely assume that Selig will have a huge package.

Some say black marks; others say brilliance.

after ingnoring it for years he then made it an issue about cheating instead of a health issue. I think this is clearly his largest black mark.

I enjoy the expanded divisions and dont care about the All Star game enough to be bothered by whatever goes on there
