Fourth team in three years? Must be a clubhouse cancer.

You guys crack me up! :D (in a good way). You made fun of us Cards fans for loving Jimmy so much and he won you over in just half a season. He provided us with years of memories. I'll always wish him the best, but it is REAL hard to see him in another uniform.

Fickleness, thy name is Cubs fans.

Ugh. Fine if he's coming off the bench, I guess, but he's going around saying the Brewers promised him a chance to play every day against right-handers and starts when corner outfielders get days off. Carlos Gomez may be a worse hitter than Jason Kendall, but at least he can play defense. An outfield of Braun-Edmonds-Hart? Maybe PECOTA was right about the Brewers' 75 wins and 18 million runs allowed.

I don't know if we ever made fun of Cards fans' love of Jimmy. We just made fun of him.

I did enjoy Jims time as a Cub, but my favorite Cub who played less than a full season would have to be Kenny Lofton.

Amen to that... Jimmy Ballgame #2, Gary Gaetti #3. The summers of 08, 03 and 98 were very rare good times to be a Cubs fan. Can't wait for 2013 I guess.

About Edmonds, I'll never forget his little bat flip toward Larussa after crushing a Looper fastball. I think it was a home game in August. Jimmy went yard twice that day, and came out for a curtain call after the 2nd, Cubs ended up winning 3-2. Cards fans I know openly admitted how much that game ripped their hearts out.

The expletive wasn't really a bad word, but whatever

I'm sick of Jim toying with my emotions! Now I have to hate him again!

I was at that game, it was amazing. Edmonds is the man, great summer of baseball with him on the team.

Wasn't it against the Brewers in 2008 when Edmonds got a fastball thrown at his head for homering twice? I think it was at Miller Park when he hit the grand slam and the other homer. And it was Gagne, right?

Interesting.

Was that the last game of the 4-game sweep right at the end of July where the Cubs won in a blowout?
