Uniforms are here

like the greys

Stadium video is here

the actual field/seats/view/scoreboard stuff is kind of dull imo. The walkways and extras look pretty cool. I hope that this gets the Twinkies the sort of revenue to retain Mauer long term.

1959 Washington Senators

The Senators - specifically, the franchise that was the Senators and is now the Twins - did this design 50 years before the Nats did, a design the franchise kept when it moved to Minnesota. And then the expansion Senators, the franchise that is now the Rangers, did it again for most of the next decade after that before moving to Texas. The Nats may have the geographic claim to the style by virtue of presently playing in DC, but the franchise that is now the Twins was the progenitor of the design, not the other way around.

They look like throwbacks a little. Not sure why they needed new ones, they don't look all that different from the previous ones

the 2nd uniform is a throwback...it says so in the caption underneath the picture.

"This Secondary Throwback uniform (circa 1961) will be worn on Opening Day and for every Saturday home game. The uniforms are modeled after the wool version worn during the Twins' first season in Minnesota."

p.s. i love the gray uni's

I like the Minnesota logo with the Minneapolis and St. Paul guys shaking hands over the Mississippi river. That's sort of cool.

The patch is rather unique. I like it, especially its ability to capture the doughy physique of midwesterners.

They deserve the new stadium..they play some good baseball.

However some of those seats they showed are terrible, in terms of vision. I can see many questionable home run calls with the quirky outfield.

If the Cubs don't make it to the Series, I hope it's the Rockies vs. the Twins, so that we can watch a world series as it's meant to be played, in 20+ degree weather and snow flurries.

It looks like a nice ballpark overall. That place where the seats overhang the field could cause some problems, though, and some of the seats are obstructed.

Overall looks like a nice field, albeit a chilly one.

Average April temperature in Minneapolis is 57, and in October it's 58. It won't be that chilly

The stadium interior, especially the concourse and food stands remind me a lot of Victory Field in Indy. Obviously on a bigger scale and with seats in the outfield but a lot of similar concepts.

If your data is the same as mine (http://climate.umn.edu/doc/twin_cities/twin_cities.htm), those are average high temperatures you're quoting. Unless they plan to schedule all their April/October home games for 1 pm, it's going to be pretty brisk. Probably more like mid-to-low 40's by 7 pm central.

Walleye on a stick. I love the upper-midwest.

I was going to post, "they had me at walleye-on-a-stick." That sounds exceptional.

Only went to the old Metrodome once. It was terrible except that Santana had 18 Ks that day. Looking forward to checking this place out next summer.
