Those were 3 horrible play calls for Arizona in the 2nd OT. Their RB was getting big yardage in the 1st OT, then they pass 3 straight times?

Check out video of Les Miles apparently calling the spike...then him throwing his 19 year old QB under the bus: "I don't know who told him to spike it..I didn't."

What a tool.

10-0 against opponents not in I-A. That should wrap up a top two seed and give us HFA in the first three rounds of the playoffs. I'll take that.

Either you or Nova will get the second one. Montana's probably got one locked. And those three plus Richmond should get the four seeds.

UCD's defense didn't show up at all in the second half and let Sac St score TDs on four of their five second half drives including allowing Sac to go 83 yards on 15 plays to score the winning TD with 20 seconds left.

UCD also got screwed a bit. Up 28-23 with five minutes left, the QB scrambled and completed a pass to the WR, who made a great catch and got two feet in before getting knocked out of bounds. The side judge ruled that he bobbled the ball (no evidence of this on replay) and that the ball hit the ground before the player (again, no evidence of this on replay) and called the ball incomplete. It was a third down play from midfield and UCD would have been down to the Sac 35 but instead, UCD had to punt and Sac went on the game winning drive.

Don't get me wrong, the defense is to blame for the loss since you simply can't allow a team to score on four of five possessions in a half and expect to win a game, but it was frustrating to see the ref blow a call like that.

I think I have gray hairs now. That was EASILY the most intense I've ever been watching a football game live. That place was going nuts.

I think I've pulled all of mine out after that embarrassing debacle. The whole coaching staff should have been canned right after the game and made to walk home.

Waiting something like 17 seconds to call a timeout and then not having the FG team ready to go are just two of the most inexcusable mistakes I've seen. Not only that, but offensive play calling at the end of the game was horrendous. Although the really didn't deserve to win the game they still managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

Though Cincinnati has had a nice year, I'm rooting hard for Pittsburgh to win out so we can see a Penn State/Pitt Orange Bowl. I don't know how the Orange Bowl committee could pass that up

The Orange Bowl is tied in to the ACC. The winner of Clemson/Georgia Tech will be going to Miami.

PSU's schedule is an embarrassment this year. They miss Wisconsin in the Big Ten, so the best team they beat is...Temple? MSU? How many of the computer polls that factor into the BCS don't even have them ranked in the top 25?

I can't imagine a BCS bowl picking PSU over Iowa this year.

I thought the Big East was tied to the Orange as well, but they sometimes shuffle it around for a better match up with an at-large. Either way, PSU vs. Pitt would draw big ratings/attendance

No, the ACC champion is like 97% sure of going to the Orange Bowl.

That's fine, then another bowl, then. Just spit balling here, since there is a chance that Pitt wins the Big East and the PSU/Pitt rivalry is one that fans have wanted to see come back for years

The Fiesta is the only one it could happen in. They would need to select PSU first then take Pitt on the wraparound. That's possible. It really just comes down to whether they think they can make more money on that or an Iowa/Okie State/Penn State vs. Boise/TCU matchup. Or potentially Iowa/PSU vs. Okie State with Boise left out.

A Pitt win increases the chances of two Big East teams, which threatens the likelihood of Penn State getting a BCS bid.

I don't see two Big East teams making it. They don't sell tickets to their own games like the others, don't travel like the others and Cincy was part of the lowest rated BCS game ever last year.

I don't think Pitt has any chance at an at-large. If they beat Cincy, I don't see the Bearcats jumping Iowa/PSU or even Okie State.

A Michigan freshman football player was arrested for sexual assault last night. They haven't released his name yet. The hits just keep on coming. :banghead:
