New College Uniforms for 2009 and maybe beyond?

Um........I don't know if I like this. LSU looking like Washington, Oklahoma wearing white helmets. I don't know if this is wise...

The Mizzou unis are awesome right now. That one is ugly. Most of the other ones look bad as well, although I am a sucker for white helmets.

Yeah, I want to see the helmet and some better shots of them before reserving judgment. They probably won't blow me away, but at least there's nothing hideous like the numbers on that Miami jersey.

The article says tht starting this Saturday, certain schools will be parading these "bad boys" in their games. I'm not against new look uniforms, but like the "turn ahead the clock" jersey's in baseball a fews ago, these, IMO are doomed to be.......stupid.

Each team will wear them for one game in November, I believe they're trying to make sure that each game is against a school that is not also a Nike team(I think the exception is UF-FSU). For Mizzou, this means those jerseys come out at Arrowhead

FSU, TCU look perhaps the best, while OU, UF, Texas still kind of look the same as this years. As for LSU's I believe that there uniforms are horrible because the helmet doesn't make a lot of sense in terms of color from the looks of it.

As for the unis, thanks, but no thanks. I'll take my traditional LSU purple and gold.

Those are pretty much just throwbacks for Texas, which I like.

 

Miami's looked good, as does TCU. TCU could actually benefit from this as part of their mainstay in the college football rankings. Any kind of new recognizable look for them will be good, as a lot of the country is still trying to figure out who they are. The gloves were the best part of all of them.

Some are interesting, some are terrible, and then there is Texas. What's really all that different? I haven't looked incredibly closely at them, but I don't see much different than their current unis.

Black on Black is great, especially since the black tops and bottoms both have a lot of yellow and gold in them as well. Now, the Saints all black unis are ugly because they are all black except the little French emblem thing (whatever it's called) and the numbers. It would be hideous if the helmets were black.
