can somebody tell me how rose has been this year so far? i haven't been able to watch any games yet so all i have to go by is his numbers. im just wondering why they're lower.

For whatever reason he seems to have taken a bit of a step back so far. He's not getting to the hoop with any consistency, he hasn't really had periods where he just takes over the offense like he would do occasionally last year. His passing has been good, but he's turning the ball over a lot. Jumper is slightly improved from last year. Defense is slightly better IMO. He isn't getting killed nearly as much as he was last year so far.

For the most part he hasn't played as many minutes as he did last year likely because of the injury, but when he is in, it's obvious that frequently the offense isn't running through him. Sometimes he's just plain invisible out there.

Lack of confidence, lack of floor spacers, bum achilles, Vinny, out of wack expectations. I just hope it's mostly the injury at this point and he's still working his way back.

Edit: I do think he's improved on D more than slightly UMFan. Mainly because it was so terrible last year but he's not playing the matador defense and working much better through screens.

Minutes are down but the offense not running through him is nothing new really. He plays off the ball more than just about any other top flight point guard in the league. That was the case last year as well. It's a motion heavy offense and Rose is rarely allowed to work in isolation. I wish he'd dictate more of that instead of so much screen and roll. We don't have the big men that can spot up/drive for heavy doses of the pick and roll game.

Well, they finally won a game impressively.

Plus, they got the one winnable game on the nightmare trip.

Now, a four game stretch of Lakers, Nuggets, Blazers and Jazz before the early schedule from hell finally ends.

Am I the only one who can't stand listening to Funk and King all night long? They seem so unprofessional. I liked Funk on the radio, but he kills me on TV.

Funk's horrendous on TV.

It's practically Funk-King unwatchable.

Stacey King rules. He's just as homer-ific as Red was but he's also a pretty good analyst, which Red, bless his heart, was not.

I'm with those who liked Funk on the radio but can't stand him on TV.

In fact, I worshipped Funk on the radio. A link to the title teams, a good radio voice imo. Strangely enough, the Swirsk (who I greatly enjoy as well) has a voice better suited for TV. They really need to get Funk and Bill back on the radio and Swirsky and King together on the tv.

Anything is better than broadcasts headlined by Tom Dore or Wayne Laravee though. I don't mind Wayne doing college football, but Bulls basketball I can't stand him.

You mean you didn't like "YES SIR! RING IT UP!"?

"AND HE HITS THE DAGGER" (after a made jump shot with 6 minutes left in the game and a 6 point lead)

"There's a foul coming up"

No, Wayne, the foul already happened. The free throws are coming up.

God I hate him

I seriously tune in to watch Noah play. In two trips down the court he just had a defensive rebound, followed by a basket, followed by a steal, followed by an assist.

Decent first quarter for the Bulls, who are obviously in over their heads in talent against the Lakers. Unfortunately, the Bulls kinda fell apart the last 2 minutes of the quarter and they now trail by 6.
