I don't remember past seasons too well... I guess that's why I'm a Cubs fan. My biggest memory though is the entire 2003 Marlins post-season series. I'm still trying to get that one erased.

Not one mention of the Ryan Theriot grand slam from this year? Also, who was it that Borowski picked off to end a game against the Yankees in '03?

Charles Gipson, who had come in to pinch run for Posada.

And was in our camp in spring training.

I could have the players confused, but I beleive back in '04 and '05, Cubs v Cardinals, warnings had alrwady been issued. I believe Scott Rolen had just hit a long home run off Big Z. The next batter was Jim Edmonds. Z nails Edmonds with the 1st pitch, turns around and walks off the field.

It was back in 2004. Z plunked Edmonds twice in that one. Z's response to hitting Edmonds a second time and getting tossed was basically, "Yeah, I just hit him. So what?"

That whole Yankees series was a hell of a lot of fun. Except that whole Choi injury.

It was like a playoff series in June.

I'm actually kind of surprised that you guys felt confident in winning Game 7 after Kerry's home run.

I still felt like a loss was preordained.

Yeah, we weren't coming back after Game 6. My brother, still the eternal optimist, thought that there was still NO WAY the Cubs could lose Game 7. I got my wallet before the game, laid out all the money in it at the time (about $65) and told him it was his if the Cubs won, and he wasn't on the hook for a single penny if the Cubs lost.

I think I spent that money on my phone bill.

thanks j.r., why don't you post the one from game 6 so that we can relive that memory as well.

It's hideous.

I can't believe no one has mentioned the GlennAllen Hill rooftop shot back in 2000. Me and a couple friends were just talking about that one the other day, what a shot!

Wow thanks for bringing that up. I was at that game on a field trip for school! I believe that was also the longest 9 inning game in NL history. Scott Downs got rocked.
