really good game in FCS this week with richmond traveling to delaware. i'm interested in this one mostly because delaware's starting QB is pat devlin, who was penn state's backup last season. he had really good numbers last week, but they were playing west chester, which isn't even division one. i could see devlin doing really well at delaware and being drafted on the first day.

dew and Raisin, what are your honest thoughts on the game? I didn't watch much of the SDSU game (I really cannot stand watching UCLA these last few years they are really boring) but they looked decent from what I saw.

Am I way off for thinking UT should smash 'em (on paper)?

I think Tennessee by 10-20; not sure if that's considered a smashing. A young but talented OL and QB in their first road game (and in a hostile environment) should be too much at UT. I'm hoping that Crompton struggles again...UCLA will need some turnovers if they want a chance.

Expecting Mizzou to roll Bowling Green in the home opener. Hope we can avoid a set-back after a big opening week.

You going to be there? We get the fly-over, which is always awesome, and the new scoreboard.

yeah, im coming back down for it (i was in town from wednesday-yesterday, worked last night and tonight, heading back down tomorrow for the long weekend). my girlfriend got me a ticket from a friend, so i figured i'd come down and see the new scoreboard and hopefully a good butt kicking.

I'm not really sure what to predict. The offense executed great last week and if they do that again Saturday, we should win without too much trouble. No offense Raisin, but I think Tennessee is (and was last year) the more talented team. But, they've played to that talent level once since the first game of 2008, so it's tough to rely on the talent differential in predicting the outcome.

I think ultimately the difference is going to be that the game is being played in Knoxville. I think Tennessee would have won last year if the game was in Knoxville and I think this year the cross-country trip for UCLA and the home fans for Tennessee will tip the scales. How much they win by depends on how indicative last week was of how the Vols will play this year. If they execute the offense and do the simple things (catch the ball, hit the holes and throw accurately), I think they'll win by 10-14. If they don't, UCLA will have a good chance of pulling out the win similarly to how they did last year.

man, no bradford for likely a month, no gresh for the whole season... this is a nightmare. Cubs are 11 games out of first. Kevin Durant will probably die in a car wreck. Let's just fastforward to 2010 please.

Anything new on Bradford?

Just depends on how he responds to the rehab. He'll try like hell to be back for Texas, but it's up to his body to decide, I guess.

In one of the two games I always root for Michigan every year. The other being Ohio State.

I'm really excited about the Purdue game. On the road at Oregon. Not the same Oregon we thought it would be but it's still on the road at a decent BCS school. I want to see if Bolden really is that good.
