The negativity here is astounding. Sure, this season hasn't turned out the way we all wanted it to, but now's not the time to give up. It's not out of reach. Lilly is pitching today. We've still got the most talent, and we've still got time to get it together. I'll give up when Ron Santo does.

weve got the power. weve got the speed. to be the best in the national league. dude, I cant tell you what to think, but its over. Nothing Ive seen over the last 3 weeks sugests to me that even if the Cardinals were to go on a slide that we could capitilize on it.

I don't know why I care anymore but hopefully the Cubs aren't getting blownout when I get back from class around the 3rd inning.

We're 9 games back. I'm pretty sure Ron Santo has given up.

Are there ANY examples in history where a team has overcome this kind of deficit this late to make the playoffs?

How far back were the Phillies at this point in 2007 before the Mets collapsed?

In 2007 the Phillies were 7 games back with 17 to play. Made up 8 games in those 17 to win the division by 1.

Blow Cubs Blow

Blow Cubs Blow

Hey Chicago Whattya say, Cubs might win a game one day

they didnt have power didnt have speed

lost to the worst team in the national league

this was the year but the Cubs werent here

and realised our greatest fear

blow Cubs blow

blow Cubs blow

hey Chicago whattya say, the Cubs might score a run today

we traded DeRosa got rid of Wood

and a few other moves that just were no good.

erase the offseason I wish that we could

blow up a good team we knew that he would

Gregg is Bad, Bradleys mad

whenever Miles is on the field it makes us all sad

These Mets seriously remind me of the Indians from Major League. Ive never heard of most of them, and the ones I have heard of I thought were long out of baseball.

And why the hell are Soriano and his gimp knee(s) in the lineup?
