Hernandez:

In my mind he's never been comfortable hitting outside of leadoff.

In your mind you probably aren't as much as a [expletive] as you really are Keith.

And Geo doesnt seem very comfortable hitting above the Mendoza Line.

Way to not take that pitch to right. Seriously, what the hell happened to all of our guys this past offseason? They quit taking pitches, they quit going to right.

At this point I'm just going to enjoy each game individually. In a month I won't have any Cubs baseball until March, so I may as well enjoy it while I can.

Is "enjoy" really the appropriate word here? For me it's rather like enjoying a slot machine on a losing night, almost out of money, knowing it's going to take my last. And I keep on pressing the button.

"Who does this guy think he is?"

"I'm Keith Hernandez."

Also, to paraphrase McCovey Chronicles...

The whole "Cubs as significant other" analogy has been done. I think I’ve done it a couple of times, usually portraying the organization as an unfaithful spouse asking for another chance. It just fits so well, though. You have an interest, the interest hurts you, you kick the interest out, the interest comes back to beg forgiveness, you think that things will be different, and you let the interest back in. What in the heck kind of metaphor are you supposed to use?

The Cubs are like that middle school gym teacher who says he’s going to leave his wife and move into your treehouse: Things get worse, never better, and only in hindsight will you realize just how disturbing things really are.

they're like that hot high school cheerleader. things are going well, she finds a rich guy, but eventually the rich guy leaves her with nothing.

I've always thought that they were the abusive spouse. You think things are going well and that they've changed like last year. Then bam, the playoffs hit and they are getting their Chris Brown on you.

So...the fans are the rich guy? I'm confused with your analogy.

You've heard of other people winning big, you see their pictures on the walls, people talk with them on the radio. It looks like you should be able to win. You are even ahead sometimes. Then... pfft. Another wasted night.

Back to the game, Bradley gets some singles and lots of walks. Don't bat him 3,4,5 and no problem. Tho I know order is not supposed to matter. RBI's aren't supposed to matter either, but man, just watch Bradley then watch Ramirez.

Dang, still posted in wrong place. Oh well go Cubs!!

Theriot needs to swing more frequently.

I'd prefer he go away.

To right field or another team?

Other team. He's about to get expensive.

I think they got one year left of relative cheapness, but after that I agree he has to be replaced.

Oh, than keep him for that one more year. Once his tag goes up move him. Although I would like to move him to second base where he belongs.

What the hell happened to Theriot's patience?

He had some? I'm pretty sure he's always had the lowest P/PA on the Cubs.

Last year he walked 73 times in 661 PA's. That's not bad
