I don't want this to turn into another thread where people attack each other and call them stupid or even debate whether or not Milton is pathetic or a great asset to the team. Just post what you actually expected him to do this season when Hendry signed him.

.300 BA

.900 OPS

35 HR's

120 RBI

No wonder you hate him

This is probably what the typical Cubs fan expected. Have they ever looked at past stats?

Why did so many of you expect Bradley to hit 25 or more HRs in a season when he's had a poor track record of staying healthy and when the most HRs he ever hit in a season was 22?

Well now it makes sense why so many people hate him. I don't understand why people thought he was a big HR hitter but if that's what they thought, then I guess that makes sense why they're disappointed in what he's done this year.

My concern when we got him wasn't his power numbers, but rather his injury history. He's held up far better than I think most of us thought. I thought he'd have more XBH's and obviously a higher slugging percentage. But his production isn't too far off of what I initially thought he'd do here.

It also makes perfect sense to be disappointed in what he's done this year without having expected 30 HR out of him.

I don't know, something's just awesome about somebody pointing to Dunn's average when talking about how to pay for production.

It's actually the 34 HR and 90 RBI that exite me, both of which would lead the Cubs btw. A

Please, for the love of god, stop using RBI.

So what did Bradley's defenders expect out of him? I see a lot of questions asking those of us what we expected (Me=20 hr, 80 rbi, .275 avg and a high OBP), but how about the Bradley apologists?

Ahahaha! Here is what Milty had to say after the game:

"I don't know why I'm the focus here. I've only been here a year. Go talk to Derrek Lee, Geovany Soto and Ryan Theriot".

Haha, this guy can't get traded soon enough. He doesn't know WHY HE'S the focus?? Nice 0-5 today, Milton. I didn't seen any of the hand gestures to the crowd today.

do you really not realize that the people who make fun of you aren't milton bradley apologists, but rather are making fun of you for your usage of a meaningless statistic like rbi's?

yes, bradley has been a big dissapointment, but there are numbers out there that actually show that. rbis do not.

Oh, I see kinda you missed the batting avg and HR part of the equation. Not to mention his sad attitude. But yea, carry on.

what is ops

i dont remember the exact equation, you'll have to ask meph but it's something like 2x(RBI+GW RBI)/race(-1 for black)+(meaningless home runs)x(hustle/pant legs(up or down))
