Any hope they send Samardzija down for Geo and just go with 11 pitchers? Otherwise it about has to be Hoff because of the huge outfield to roam at Coors and we will probably need Fuld at some point out there....I really don't see why we need 7 relievers but we'll probably do with 7....After already sending down stevens instead of Samardzija, sending down Fox over Hoff wouldnt surprise me

Oh, and miles shouldn't be starting tonight...right?

Theriot was supposed to come back tonight, so I really doubt it.

Thats what i thought/hoped.

They could, but given all the concern about the fatigue of bullpen arms, and that they are going into Colorado and a string of 17 straight games, I don't think they go back to 6 relievers.

I'm going on record in saying that Pitt takes 2/3 from Cards this weekend.

Then Im going on record as saying that Aaron Miles hits 3 home runs, 2 doubles, 4 triples, and 15 RBI vs. the Rockies, and Jeff Samardzjia pitches a perfect inning.

Oh come on.....Shark could NEVER pitch a perfect inning

My lineup guess

Fuku

Theriot

Lee

ARam

Bradley

Sori

Soto

Fontenot

Z

That is 1 sexy lineup

Fox in for Fontenot would make it sexier

And itd make the defense look like the Bad News Bears, and probably take about 2 innings before Z killed him.

And then there was that one batting practice pitch that he almost hit out of the infield when the normal BP pitcher had to take a crap and the groundskeeper took his place.

Well hot damn, maybe Lou is a little smarter than I give him credit for. Bradley in the 2 spot is fantastic. If him and Fuku keep getting on base like they have recently, we should really start scoring some runs. I also like Theriot in the 8 spot as it lengthens out our lineup a bit.

Fukudome and Bradley at the top of the lineup is awesome.

Still surprised Lou did that, but it does make some sense compared to his prior moves. He probably has been wanting to do that for a little while now, but he needed Bradley in the middle. Now that Soto fills that spot, that frees up Bradley to move and Theriot can move to Hill's vacated spot in the lineup.

Plus now he avoids the left-handers being at both the 8 and 1 spots in the lineup. I'd be fine with the other normal lineup as well, but I also like this one.
