P eformance: a proven champion

I ngenuity: a savvy veteran

E ffort: noone questions his effort

R oad numbers: check out those stats!

R eliability: never misses a game

E xcitement: one the best players in the game today

I no some dont like him, but this guy has reinvented hisself. A real sparkplug, speed never slumps. This team could use a little more smartball, its obvius what there doing now is not working. Time to reinvent this offense.

OK...say we get him, who would he replace? Soriano? No, I don't think so. Johnson/Fukudome in Center? No again. Fukudome has the huge contract and is starting to hit a bit better lately (especially in the leadoff position). Bradley/Fukudome in right? No. As big as a bust Bradley is, there is no way we are just going to replace him on an everyday basis with someone like Pierre.

No, I just don't see anything like this happening.

I shouldn't even bother, but

Speed does slump

June .264/.319/.309 for a .628 OPS

July .250/.273/.313 for a .585 OPS

His hot start had everything to do with a BABIP of over .400

ok, I knew folks wouldnt like it, but this guy is doing really well this year. Dodgers would not ask for much back and would propbably pay most of his salary.

Instant upgrade.

Koyie Hill (ignoring defense, obviously)?

Juan Pierre since May 29 has a line of .245/.295/.290/.586 in 170 PA's.

But if he's playing in this little ballpark here he could show more power.

.279/.324/.359/.683

Those are Pierre's numbers at Wrigley the past three yrs. Suffice to say power is nowhere to be found with Pierre no matter the stadium.

Whats the joke? This boy is one of the best leadoff men out there. Rarly strikes out, puts the ball in play, and plenty of speed to drive those pitchers nuts.

I love his hustlin' game.
