They're dirty as hell but I think it's hilarious.

The River Cats did it at the end of last year through the whole playoffs (won the whole thing) and Cal State Fullerton did it for the College World Series this year (lost both games).

Hopefully the Cardinals go the way of Fullerton.

It's awful. I don't understand it. Carp's looks like he glued a rat pelt onto his lip.

:-)) :-)) :-)) OK, here's the deal: One of the relievers grew his and had a good outing, so the other relievers being young, superstitious guys did it too....then Carp reluctantly went along to be a good teamate.

Then Shumacker grew one. The pornstache cannot be stopped...you can only hope to contain it! :-&

they're all horrible.

i, for one, am shocked that a white trash facial hair growing competition has taken root in st louis, of all places.

Wellemeyer had a really ugly mustache today. Pineiro looks greasy with his. Thompson hasn't reached puberty yet.

LaRue briefly shaved his badass stache, but luckily has grown it back.

also, there is a 0% chance that ryan franklin isn't an absolute gigantic douche with a beard like that. 0%.

Well, the Cards are playing a little better ball since the trend started. Maybe the Cubs should use this ASB to start on ZZ Top beards!

We're talking about a sport that kept the Goatee trend alive (and to this day) for well over a decade.

Bad facial hair and baseball go together like peanut butter and jelly.
