he was really hard to understand and really long-winded, but it was mostly awesome because he talked about hitting the ball hard on about 15 different occasions, dropped in "forte" randomly, and kept calling len and bob "buddy"

I hereby suspend all Aaron Miles hate until tomorrow. Him and Blanco were more productive in that inning than Mike Fontenot has in quite a while.

 

I do feel bad for Kerry Wood though. hes been brutal, as have the rest of his pen mates this season, and we tag him for 2 straight blown saves. As I recall, he was never very good when it came to 1 run saves for us, but was pretty lights out with a 2-3 run lead.

 

Seriously though, some guy named Luis Valbuena with 1 home run on the season and 3 against us? Unreal. Now mind you, these werent just the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th home runs of the season for him. Oh no, they were the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th home run of his career.

If it makes you feel any better, he's only 23 and had 54 major league PAs before this season. He was also OPSing .975 in the minors this season, but had sketchy at best numbers before that.

Nope....St. Louis is winning their game and is only 0.5 back coming into today. The Cardinals are winning 3-0 right now and if they win and Milwaukee loses its 2.5 back.

Pretty nice these last 3 games for Cub fans. May turn things around. Brews being beat around like a rented mule! I would love to see the Cards/Cubs 1 and 2 by All Star break. But so many things can happen...the Reds sneaking up too.
