haha those last four serves were atrocious.

It's not surprising that Del Potro isn't likely to pull this out, given he's 20 and this is his first chance on this type of stage. But he's showing a hell of an effort.

Definitely, though if Federer could serve at all this thing would have been over in three sets.

i've definitely never seen someone hit their forehand as hard as del potro. it's pretty amazing.

They said he had a couple at 108, which I guess is pretty darn hard for a forehand since the announcers seemed surprised by it.

In addition to still being unable to figure out his serve (I can't believe he hasn't yet), Federer's starting to make some uncharacteristic errors - five already this set.

Del Potro isn't even the type of player that gives Federer trouble. He normally has trouble with more defensive players like Murray and Nalbandian.

I don't understand why Del Potro is getting so many forehands from Federer

It's just error after error after error in this set for Federer. This is ridiculous.

yeah i can't remember the last time i saw him play this poorly. del potro is a hard hitter and i'm sure he's forcing federer into some of these errors, but still... this is ugly.

Random question during a tense moment for tennis fans, but what is the farthest that you've ever seen someone come back from being at championship (or game) point and ending up winning?

Congrats to Del Potro but Federer blew that thing. Missed first serves and unforced errors. He's going to be kicking himself for a while.

I know how you feel, Vanilla Ice, but I'll be curious to see if Del Potro goes the way of Rafael Nadal and gets more or if he follows Djokovic (for now) and Roddick and is stuck at one.

I dont watch tennis all the time but that was a enjoyable match. I'll have to watch more often.

did Urlacher get a flag on that hit in your gif, because he needed to.

Nope. It looked pretty clean last night but looks worse watching the Gif over and over again. He did lead with his shoulder into his chest.

Not to go too much more off-topic but he'll probably get fined for that hit, which is deserved but another twist of the knife for Urlacher.

Our french language public TV station (RTBF) has said that Henin is also planning a comeback. They concluded this from the fact that she's ordered 14 new rackets.

Roger Federer is getting absolutely annihilated by Nikolay Davydenko right now. Federer lost the first set 6-2 and is already down a break in the second after getting broken at love.

This is amazing. All of a sudden something clicked for Federer. Davydenko had a couple break chances in the second to go up two breaks, couldn't take advantage and it's been all Federer since. Federer won the second set 6-3 and just broke Davydenko to start the third set.
