I fully expect Jim to sit around and not do anything. Nice offseason buddy. It isn't easy to dismantle a 97 win team in one season, but you managed it.

i honestly had a bad feeling coming into this season, but i never imagined it would be this bad

i think i am going to start watching more rangers games and less cubs games

How the hell is Hendry's job safe?

i think this is the question of the year and the moment

his head, and others, really should be on the block and prepared to roll down the stairs when ownership changes

You can't fire a GM or a manager or whoever just because you run into a bad stretch of games. Firing them now is nothing more then a desparate move. And what's worse those type firing are moves just to make moves.

I understand the status quo isn't working, but firing people just because players are not playing well is not wise. If the Cubs fail to make the playoffs then reevaluate his job AFTER the season, not before.

The point is when or if this team can get healthy and play to their abilities its superior to every other team in the NL Central. I don't think you can blame him for all the injuries.

This offseason should have got him canned.

Miles signed right away for two years at more than Orlando Hudson.

Signing Aaron Heilman.

Trading Mark DeRosa to allow Mike Fontenot to play everyday.

Joey Gathright.

Trading a prospect for Kevin Gregg.

I think what people are forgetting is that today's game was the worst game score wise during the 7 game streak. For the most part the Cubs have been in games they just can't get that hit or two to win the game. It is not as if the Cubs are losing 10-1, 7-0, etc, etc. The Cubs are not as bad as this streak might suggest, just unlucky. So you can't reward managers/GM for good luck, but you certaintly cann't scapegoat managers/GM on bad luck.
