Nah I remember at least two others. One against Colorado, not sure about the other.

The game were Howry was charged by the fan.

the other one was against the Dodgers last year.

Same one. He had one against LA last year.

A win is a win, but Gregg & Heilman need to be relegated to mop-up duty....unfortunately, that means Guz & Marmol being worn down the the ASB

Ok lets guess what Lous knee jerk comment is in the postgame interview regarding Gregg?

Hopefully it's something like "Marmol is our closer now"

Id prefer Guzman, leave Marmol where he is

That's exactly what I was thinking. How awesome has this been for him? Tearing the cover off the ball and now scoring the game winning walk-off run. He just looks like he's having the greatest time of his life. And I say good for him. 10 years in the minors, and from all reports, a really good guy. He definitely deserves it.

11 years in the minors actually. He's literally logged more years in the minors than Crash Davis.

As much as I dislike Lou's mood swings, I don't know anything he could say Re: Gregg that would seem reactionary at this point. Gregg has done little else but suck. Hard.

Lou's on, seems fine.

"In Gregg's defense, he hasn't pitched in a few days." And talks about the closer mentality pitching in non saves situations.

Posted
Yea Lou, use the lack of intensity as a reason Gregg sucked, and lack of use. Id think the intensity level would be there after giving up 2 bombs, and 2 more hits.
Posted
Nah, the reason Gregg gave up those runs so easily is because I picked him up for saves in one of my fantasy leagues last night. Naturally, his inclusion on my roster led him to certain doom and failure

"You don't expect your closer to get hit that hard." Really Lou? At what point do you start expecting it?

Incredible. He'll use his infantile instincts to bench Hoff for no reason, to possibly dump Marshall from the rotation, but God forbid he act like a baby in a way that will help this team.

cooler heads prevail

its a lot better with marmol, if gregg can actually get outs during the rest of the season, and the rest of the team if gregg keeps up this meaningless position
