I'm actually not 100% about that pitching matchup, but a mod can change it later. Win tomorrow and I'll match my win total from last year! Go me! And Cubs!

First thought is why not skip Wells, but then I think I'd rather they push him and Marshall back a day, and give Harden 2 more days of rest for his start in STL Tuesday. Harden/Lilly/Dempster is a nice three game matchup for STL.

Nope they are startin Wells tomorrow, and skipping Marshall altogether so Lou can finally get him in the pen. Harden is pitching Sunday. Guess Lou finally got his wish. Hooray for skipping the guy whos been really good this year, for a kid making his 2nd career start just so we can have a loogy worth a damn.

Seriously? That's the decision? Unbelievable.

Because clearly its the logical decision over aquiring a semi competant lefty reliever.

Sooner or later they have to use some preventive medicine with Harden, no? Are they just going to run him out there every 5 days until he can't go?

If this is the Cubs thinking, then I'd imagine they'd try to wait it out until Zambrano comes back. If he goes out and throws 2 gems between now and then, though, I'd imagine they'd wait until he struggles or if he throws a high number of pitches.

MLB story says that Marshall will be skipped, but is scheduled vs St Louis on Thursday.

If that's the reason it's being done then that's totally legit with the way the Cards have struggled against lefties thus far. That's about the only reason I would find acceptable for the change.

About as good as our lineup is going to get with Milton serving his suspension and Aram injured.

Wow. Blackout rules on Thursday, a rain out on Friday and blackout rules on Saturday means three days in a row of no Cubs baseball.

And what's on FOX during the Cubs game? Crapola. They don't deserve black out rights. They don't deserve MLB.
