Freel will be our starting 3B for a while, but we may want to look into Kevin Kouzmanoff.

We'll need far more than Kouzmanoff if we lose ARam for a significant period.

If we can start getting production from Bradley and Soto, we can pull through it. These guys have given us 0. They need to step up or ship out.

He has a career 99 OPS+. He's OPSing .609 right now. I don't think Bradley and Soto will be enough if he's the best we have at third for an extended period.

He was much better away from that cavern in PetCo last year. .802 OPS.

This is reminding me of a Marquis start when he pitched "Good". A lot of nibbling and a lot of lucky innings. Usually Marquis imploded about the 5th or 6th. Let's hope that doesn't happen.

Any other 3B targets anyone can think of?

Aubrey Huff or Ty Wiggington? I know the O's just sent us a third baseman, but I figure they should be mathamatically eliminated by late next week, so maybe we have some of McPhails old guys that weve forgotten about that hed like back.

These next hours til we found out what it is are really going to be agonizing.

Not really....I could be wrong but there aren't a lot of scenarios out there that don't lead to Aramis missing significant time. The only think we need to find out is if it's 6 weeks or season ending. Maybe someone has more insight but I've always assumed that there are not too many "day to day" shoulder injuries.

I'm guessing he tore his left triceps or separated/tore something in his left shoulder. I am not expecting good news.

That said, if Bradley starts hitting, it will soften the blow significantly.

Didn't realize that. He'd be a solid option, perhaps.

Mark DeRosa.

sorry.

The Indians are in last place... Lets give them their 3 guys back and they give us DeRo and we'll forget this ever happened. I'd feel ok with ARam being out 6 weeks if we still had DeRosa, assuming Bradley shows signs of life.

Wigginton wouldn't be bad and I'd love Huff. Melvin Mora wouldn't be a bad option if he could repeat last year's .826 OPS.

Having had 5 shoulder surgeries I'm going to say he has a torn labrum. Pray his rotator cuff didn't tear. My last dislocation I tore rotator cuff off bone and in half, tore labrum off bone and partially tore biceps tendon. Can't swing for 6 months. Throwing is 10 months to a year out.
