CUBS are 6-2 when WGN broadcasts the game

I believe this is all the proof we need for why more games should be on WGN. This is a welcome change from last year, when they were right around .500 on WGN.

Even better is that the Cubs are 8-2 this season with me watching. I will be watching tonight.

So will the newest member of the Cubs be in uniform this evening?

Nope. Freel is reporting tomorrow, according to Gordon Whittenmyer.

Maybe I missed it somewhere, but I don't see anything saying what was done to make room for Wells on the roster. Anyone know?

Gathright traded to Baltimore for Freel.

How does that free up a spot on the 25-man roster?

Freel is technically currently rehabbing in the minors.

Yeah, Scales will go down when Freel is ready.

Fukucopter, that Lou probably caused - I doubt Kosuke swings at that without Theriot running.

How come the Padres never inquired about Wells? Seems hes pretty decent and if we can throw in a pitcher or two from the DeRo trade and Vitters or whoever else I think thatd be enough to get Peavy at the deadline

Wells main advantage could be that he knows hes not fighting for a long term job. When Z comes back, hes probably back in Iowa regardless of what he does here. He knows hes a filler, so he just needs to throw strikes, and let the rest take care of itself.

Dear Milton,

Stop being bad.

Thank you.

It's getting to the point where I'm starting to doubt he's going to be anywhere near the player he was last year.
