CCP or Exile, please tell me if that was a good pick by the Colts.

I'm not either of them and my opinion probably doesn't mean as much (I don't know the Colts' needs as much as them), but Jerry Hughes is an explosive pass rusher.

How he'll fit exactly, though, I don't know.

I respect your opinion, but CCP and Exile usually make posts about the Colts picks that make me feel good.

It's strange, but I like the Tebow pick for Denver. McDaniels can work very well with QBs (look at Matt Cassell) and if anybody is going to turn Tebow into an NFL QB it's McDaniels. Also, the closest you're going to get in the NFL to Florida's spread offense is Denver, so it'll be less of an adjustment for him.

They shouldn't have given a 2nd, 3rd and 4th rounder to get him though.

Matt Cassell the one year wonder. Scott Mitchell was really good for one season too.

You forgot Rex Chapman and Derek Anderson.

Wait why isn't bukie being a prick arguer? (A what??)

Becuase he doesn't do it all the time. You always select one minute thing that you can dispute that doesn't have anything to do with the overall argument. You know what is meant when people call something an individual stat and it is a rather common thing so why make that post? There is really only one reason and I've already explained it.

I almost picked him in the first mock draft that NSBB did. Like Mathis, he's too small to be a 3 down DE consistently. But he'll be a fantastic 3rd pass rusher for their scheme and that really hurt them in the SB. I definitely think it's a good pick.

Sounds nice. Thanks.

Well, I guess Clausen and Tate will both go early tomorrow. Maybe someday I'll root for someone who won't swan dive down the 1st round. So annoying.

I'm thinking Saints get Mays here. But who really knows at this point. Too many surprises in this draft.

Mays isn't really that similar to Sharper, I don't think. Sharper's strength is roaming the field and making plays and the biggest question about Mays is whether he can make plays on the ball. If they want to replace Sharper they should have traded up for Berry or Thomas.

Just because they don't play a similar doesn't mean Mays can't fill the void left by Sharper. They need a S not necessarily a Sharper clone.

Sharper's a big reason they were so good defensively last year and he had that good a year because he fits the defensive scheme so well. Mays doesn't fit the scheme nearly as well, so picking him would be changing a lot of what made your defense good.

Tate, Kindle, and Cody all make it to round 2. Good news for the Chiefs and their first pick.

Agreed but like I said if the read is Sharper won't be returning they have to get a replacement. Mays is a great athlete with the potential to do great and is better than anyone else out there.

Brees lasted until the first pick in the second round when he shouldn't have so it could work out for Clausen.

For their defensive scheme I'd go Morgan Burnett before Mays. Maybe Nate Allen too.

It has nothing to do with the overall argument??????

You're arguing that Orton can't be an above average QB because he had a (slightly) above average QB rating last year. IT HAS EVERYTHING TO DO WITH THE ARGUMENT. If the stat is flawed at measuring the individual's ability then you shouldn't use it to rate him individually.

Is Clausen at Radio City Music Hall?

No hes in Palm Springs or some place like that

Apparently his grandpa passed away recently and he's with his grandma and other family there. I think he would've gone to NYC otherwise.

Bears should jump on Sharper then

He might be too aggressive for a Cover 2. He wasn't particularly good in Minnesota.

He's still better than the suckfest they have right now

Maybe. They ought to look to trade up for Burnett or go after Atogwe before shelling out the cash for Sharper.
